Gabe Ikard and Teddy Lehman break down the "Keys to Victory" for OU football against the South Carolina Gamecocks on October 31, 2026. The Oklahoma Sooners defense faces a great challenge in USC QB LaNorris Sellers. John Mateer and the Sooners offense will have to prevent Dylan Stewart from wrecking the game and take advantage of some of the issues the Gamecocks have had in the secondary. Oklahoma's defense vs. South Carolina's offense 0:51 OU's defense must be disciplined with their pass rush lanes and not allow LaNorris Sellers to escape and do serious damage with his running ability 3:35 OU's defenders can't leave their feet to tackle LaNorris Sellers 7:34 OU's defense must get South Carolina in 3rd & long situations where they can collapse the pocket and make LaNorris Sellers uncomfortable as a passer 10:29 OU's defense must minimize the impact of Matt Fuller and USC's traditional run game 14:23 OU's defense must minimize Gamecocks WR Mazeo Bennett's yards after the catch 18:09 OU's defense must defend all of the passes that USC throws at the line of scrimmage (bubbles, quick screens, tunnel screens, etc.) well Oklahoma's offense vs. South Carolina's defense 23:49 OU must give E'Marion Harris the appropriate amount of help in pass protection to insure DYLAN STEWART DOES NOT WRECK THE GAME 28:22 OU must build on the momentum and continue to find success running the ball with Lloyd Avant, Tory Blaylock and Jonathan Hatton 30:50 OU must get to some gap scheme runs to challenge USC's light edge pleasures and nullify their twists in the interior defensive line 34:35 OU's offensive line must give John Mateer time in the pocket because South Carolina will bust coverages in the secondary 36:12 OU must be smart with what they ask from Hayden Hansen, Jack Van Dorselaer and Rocky Beers in pass protection 38:41 John Mateer must find Isaiah Sategna and Rocky Beers when the Gamecocks decide to play man coverage 40:57 OU must do whatever it takes to score touchdowns in the red zone and not settle for field goals. Gabe Ikard and Teddy Lehman give the "Keys to Victory" for Oklahoma football's offense against Texas' defense in the Red River Rivalry on October 10, 2026. They break down how they believe OU OC Ben Arbuckle should attack Will Muschamp's defense. In the run game, they believe the Sooners should spread Texas out to create more natural space and attack the Longhorns with perimeter run game. In the passing game, they think the Sooners should not allow Colin Simmons to wreck the game, need to target Isaiah Sategna & Rocky Beers consistently throughout the game & John Mateer needs to take some chances throwing the ball down the field and giving his wide receivers a chance to go make some plays for him. 0:58 OU's offense must spread Texas' defense out to create some more natural space for the Sooners running game 7:35 OU's offense must attack the edges of Texas' defense with perimeter run game (outside zone, pin pull, jet sweep, swing screens, etc. ) 11:56 OU's offensive line must cover guys up when the Sooners do decide to run in between the tackles 16:51 OU can't let Colin Simmons wreck the game. The Sooners must have a plan to help E'Marion Harris and Ryan Fodje throughout the game 25:05 Isaiah Sategna and Rocky Beers must win on their routes and John Mateer needs to feed them early and often in the passing game 31:44 John Mateer must push the ball down the field and challenge Texas' corners 35:47 OU's offensive line, running backs and tight ends must handle Texas' pressure packages in 2nd and long and 3rd and long well to allow Mateer to make some critical throws to extend drives Official Site: https://okbreakdown.com/episodes/in-the-weeds-keys-to-victory-for-ou-footballs-offense-vs-the-texas-longhorns-defense YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTleHISrTWE • Kalshi link: Visit http://kalshi.com/r/OKBreakdown and new customers will receive $55 when they trade $25! Gabe Ikard and Teddy Lehman give the "Keys to Victory" for Oklahoma football's defense against Texas' offense in the Red River Rivalry on October 10, 2026. They break down what the Sooners defense needs to do to limit Arch Manning and the Longhorns explosive wide receiving core led by Cam Coleman and Ryan Wingo. They also discuss the importance of limiting Texas' versatile run game with Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown. 1:29 OU's defense must limit Texas' versatile run game including the pin pull and crack toss plays that have given them some trouble this season 7:57 Sooners must do a great job of tackling Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown one on one in space. Texas does a nice job of forcing the ball onto corners so Courtland Guillory and Eli Bowen will have to have good days as tacklers 13:07 Sooners defensive led by David Stone, Jayden Jackson and Taylor Wein must create good penetration and produce tackles for loss when Texas runs the ball 17:12 OU's defensive linemen must win their one on ones in pass rush so that Brent Venables can play a little more coverage to account for Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo and Emmett Mosley 26:46 OU's defense must make Arch Manning uncomfortable in the pocket to help prevent the Longhorns from producing explosive plays in the passing game 30:35 OU's defense must contain Texas WR Cam Coleman 34:23 OU's defense must contain Arch Manning and not allow him to do a lot of damage with his legs as a scrambler Official Site: https://okbreakdown.com/episodes/in-the-weeds-keys-to-victory-for-ou-footballs-defense-vs-the-texas-longhorns-offense YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxvUvZbWJaQ • Kalshi link: Visit http://kalshi.com/r/OKBreakdown and new customers will receive $55 when they trade $25!
