An award-winning podcast that takes a different horror film based on the theme of the month and breaks it down scene by scene (we spoil everything), which allows us to have a thoughtful conversation on the movie as a whole. Three Knights hold these discussions: Prince Jackson, and Freddy Nuti You can find more horror-related content on Patreon.com/KnightLightPod!

Before Halloween. Before The Exorcist. There was a Saturday morning lineup that spent your whole childhood teaching you to be scared on purpose, and you loved it. In this episode of Knight Owl, Prince deep dives into how 90s kids' TV (Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps, Eerie, Indiana, So Weird, and the Treehouse of Horror) quietly built a generation of horror fans. On purpose. And it worked. Full episode is up now for our Ghoulish Knights on Patreon — patreon.com/knightlightpod. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
I love you so, so, so, so, so, so, so, much, Bear. Be careful what you wish for or you might just turn out to be the villain in your love story. Bear is too scared to be rejected by the girl of his dreams. Only able to express his emotions with himself, his best friend, and a magical wooden willow twig. Snap. She really loves him now 💋. But "is it even real?" Or does his Obsession give him more than he bargained for? 🕯️ The nightmare doesn't stop here. Rubberhead: The Life & Monsters of Steve Johnson is a beautifully crafted documentary that tells an incredible story of a man who shaped the entire film industry. A portrait of the life and times of Steve Johnson, one of Hollywood's most prolific special effects makeup artists. I got to chat with the director, Nick Taylor, and dived deep into the doc, the story of Steve Johnson, and the high impact that he had. This conversation was absolutely incredible and I learned so much about the process of making the documentary. This doc and conversation are a perfect pairing for fans of movies. It breathes movie magic and is truly something special. Nick is spotlighting a true hero who has been inspired by so many greats and has inspired many great creatives as well. He was the ultimate rock star of the movie industry and practical effects. This documentary will be showcased at Fantasia International Film Festival and is a must see. Please do yourself a favor and keep this movie on your radar. It is truly a must see and you will not be disappointed. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A note on your windshield that shouldn't exist. A chair on the curb that really should've stayed there. Curry Barker built his name on exactly this kind of dread — small, ordinary objects that crack reality wide open. This week on Knight Watch: a Warnings and The Chair double feature, two of the shorts that put Barker on my radar before Obsession ever hit theaters. I was lucky enough to chat this week with Alexandra Essoe (Doctor Sleep) and Richard Harmon (Final Destination: Bloodlines) about their newest film, Pitfall! A spectacular story about a group of friends that go out to the woods and quickly have to be there for each other, as they try to survive the unexpected. We had a great conversation about their horror origin story, their characters, the themes of the movie, and behind-the-scenes moments. It was such a great conversation. I loved talking to these two amazingly talented individuals. Pitfall is now available on VOD from Cineverse. Go check it out as soon as you can! Learn more about your ad choices. Prince reacts to the trailer of his most anticipated films by Brian Duffield, Whalefall! Brian Duffield's survival thriller where a diver (Austin Abrams) searching for his dead father's remains gets swallowed whole by an 80-foot sperm whale, with one hour of air and Josh Brolin's voice rattling around in his head the whole way down. The lights are still on in the house at the end of the street. Every other house on the block went dark when the comet passed. And it looks exactly like yours. Coherence is one of those films that sneaks up on you like a bad feeling you can't name. James Ward Byrkit shot this thing over five nights in his own living room with no script. Just eight actors, some cryptic notes slipped under their doors, and a premise that quietly dismantles everything you think you know about the people sitting across from you. 🕯️ The nightmare doesn't stop here. ★☆☆☆☆ — "Would NOT recommend. Avoid this hostel." Came in with high hopes. Reviews said friendly staff, beautiful women, unforgettable stay. The first two were true, I'll give them that. "Unforgettable" was also accurate, just not how I pictured it. The amenities are not for the guests. You ARE the amenity. 0/10, lost some friends, possibly some fingers. That's the Hostel experience in a nutshell. Eli Roth's 2005 gut-punch took the backpacking fantasy and turned it into the ugliest transaction in Europe, the cornerstone of the early-2000s torture wave and a nastier movie about money and disposability than anyone admits. The Ghoulish Knights put this on the list, and we're finally checking in. 🕯️ The nightmare doesn't stop here. Does a reflection always tell you the truth? You walk past a mirror through your house, and through your peripheral, you spot something odd. Something out of place. You soon hear creaks and cracks throughout your home; emotions and demeanors of those closest to you grow cold and mean. You blame the mirror, but the mirror doesn't argue. It just waits. That's the Lasser Glass, and it's the star of Mike Flanagan's Oculus. Eleven years after a horrific tragedy tore their family apart, siblings Tim and Kaylie reunite with one goal: track down the antique mirror they believe is responsible, and destroy it, on camera, with proof, once and for all. Flanagan weaves past and present together so seamlessly you'll start questioning your own memory along with the characters', and the result is one of the smartest haunted object movies of the 2010s. Grab your safety tethers, Ghoulish Knights, we're not leaving this room until the job's done. 👻😈 Itching for more Knight Light? These are mainly video episodes that are only available on Patreon. Imagine waking up and finding a video camera with tape inside of it. You put the tape inside your dusty old VHS player. It begins, but something is off. It's your dream. That's VCR Willie. Alexanderthetitan's analog horror series is doing something genuinely unsettling, not just in what's on the tapes, but in what it means that the tapes exist at all. People who smile at you like they know you. People who hide behind things too small to hide behind. People who aren't quite people anymore. We watched Scrubs, Trowel, and Mimic in this part 1 episode for Knight Watch. The full reaction and breakdown is live right now on the Hellfire Tier at patreon.com/knightlightpod. Join me as I interview Sasha Boggs about her horror comedy called Women. Think Mean Girls meets The Evil Dead. Ten women. One Austin bar. A bachelorette party held together by tequila, fake compliments, and years of unresolved resentment. As the night spirals out of control, passive aggression turns primal. Then the blood starts flowing. WOMEN is a horror comedy about female social dynamics, performative friendship, jealousy, and status games. Inspired by real conversations and real people, the film blends overlapping ensemble comedy with stylized violence and practical gore effects. We had a blast talking about her history with the horror genre, the inspirations of Women, their goals and what they tend to accomplish. Hope you enjoy this in-depth conversation about the project. The year is 1858. A new governess arrives at Ensor House — poised, polished, impeccably well-mannered. The children adore her. The staff did too. Victorian Psycho just dropped its first trailer, and Ghoulish Knights, we are not okay. Maika Monroe (our forever scream queen, fresh off Longlegs) is playing a governess who is hiding something deeply, violently wrong behind a very proper exterior, and director Zachary Wigon is absolutely not playing around. Jane Eyre meets American Psycho with a seven-minute standing ovation at Cannes? We had to react. This is just a taste, the full Knight Reacts is over on Patreon right now. Come get weird with us. The pressure down here isn't something you feel all at once. It's a slow squeeze, your suit, your lungs, the dark pressing in from every direction. Seven miles below the surface. That alone is terrifying, but that's not enough because the ocean is riddled with Chtulhu's spawn. Underwater doesn't get enough credit. William Eubank drops you into a deep-sea drilling crisis with almost no runway, no setup, no easing in, just Kristen Stewart in a flooded corridor trying not to die. It's lean, it's claustrophobic, and by the third act it goes somewhere genuinely unhinged. 👻😈 Itching for more Knight Light? If you would like to be involved, make sure to stop by Discord to join the conversations. Space was supposed to be the way out. No more mining. No more company quotas. No more Jackson's Star chewing you up and spitting you out shift after shift. Just steal some cryo-pods off a derelict station and disappear. Simple.
