Week 17 was very much an on/off affair, so it all comes down to Week 18. Three divisions are either all done and dusted in terms of promotion/relegation, but five most definitely are not. Shepherd's Bush v Teddington is rapidly becoming the MCCL's version of the Rocky films. Minus the Cold War politics. And Clubber Lang. No one really needs Clubber Lang. There was more topsy-turviness across the MCCL as a number of the top sides slipped up. Crouch End's sojourn at the top of the Prem lasted just the week, Harrow Town slip up in Div 3, as do London Sportif in Div 4. There is a new leader in the Prem. Teddington slip up, Crouch End pounce. Last summer Chris Woakes famously went out to bat against India with a dislocated shoulder. Enfield's Harry Wilkins can now officially say "Woakesy, hold my beer". Broken bones didn't prevent Wilkins from going out to bat one-handed in dramatic run chase against Bessborough on Saturday. Harry joins Sal and Dan to talk us through the day's events. Sometimes the best games of cricket aren't ones where the ball is smashed everywhere. Week 6 in the MCCL is a great example of that. Twickenham pull off a miracle and win with only 78 on the board, West Harrow (somehow) nearly defend 39 against Enfield. Harrow Town win despite posting only 106, Ally Pally just about chase 101. Just five 1st XI games managed to beat the weather on 6 June. One was in Div 7, two in Div 6, one in Div 4 and Twickenham v Stanmore in the Prem. And, Twickenham will be much the happier; by virtue of our old friend Vera Duckworth and her sums, they got home and with that their first ten points of the season. The premier division league table is taking shape, but not perhaps in the way many anticipated. Ealing are flying, North Midd and Shay Boo are - on the face of it at least - struggling.
