Another frustrating evening for Celtic as a disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Dundee United sees us miss the opportunity to extend our lead at the top of the table. On this episode of 4 Tims and a Podcast , we dissect another underwhelming performance and ask serious questions about the manager and his coaching team, with Celtic now managing just three wins in their last nine games. We also take a closer look at some fascinating post-match comments from captain Callum McGregor, whose words suggest things behind the scenes aren't quite as they should be. How concerning should it be for supporters, and indeed the manager, that the captain is speaking so candidly and publicly about the team's performances? Finally, we turn our attention to a difficult trip to an in-form Falkirk side as Celtic look to get their form back on track and put this worrying run behind them. Welcome to Episode 3 of Tony's 10 Minute Tangent Episode 3 where this week he gets discussing Toy Story, David Templeton and Neil Lennon. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Darren is joined by Tony, Danny and Andy to look back on Celtic’s 2-1 comeback victory over Hibernian at Easter Road, as the Hoops battled back to secure another three points in the league. We kick things off by discussing Celtic’s sloppy start, as a lapse in concentration allowed Hibs to take an early lead. Thankfully, the response was almost immediate, with a dangerous corner causing chaos in the Hibs defence and resulting in an own goal to bring Celtic level. Then came the moment of the match, as Camilo Duran produced a brilliant solo effort just before half-time to put Celtic ahead with what would prove to be the winning goal. With nine wins from ten league games, the most goals scored and the fewest conceded, the numbers suggest Celtic have plenty to be happy about. But are things really as rosy as they seem? Despite the results, there has been plenty of frustration among the support over the team's sloppy performances, lack of a clear style of play and worrying defensive lapses. Are these just minor blips, or are Celtic heading for trouble if the performances don't improve? We also discuss Kasper Høgh’s continued struggles in front of goal and the frustration surrounding Alistair Johnston’s return from a lengthy absence, as he was forced off just minutes after coming on. Plenty to debate, plenty of questions, and as always, no shortage of opinions! Finally, we look ahead to a huge week in the title race. With second and third place facing off on Wednesday, Celtic have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top when Dundee United visit Celtic Park. Can the Hoops take advantage and put further daylight between themselves and their nearest challengers? All this and more on the latest episode of 4 Tims and a Podcast ! 🍀 Like, subscribe and leave us a review — and let us know what you think of Celtic’s performances. Are the results enough, or do we need to see more from this team? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Another European night, another defeat, and Celtic are left staring at a Europa League campaign that’s threatening to unravel before it’s even got going. A home defeat to Celta Vigo leaves Martin O’Neill’s men sitting on ZERO points after three games — so, with five matches remaining, is there any way back, or is the European campaign already over? On this episode of 4 Tims and a Podcast , we’re breaking down another lacklustre Celtic performance, looking at where it all went wrong and asking the big questions. Who’s to blame for the current situation? Are the players delivering enough? Does the responsibility lie with the manager, the board, or both? And with performances and results continuing to disappoint, who should be facing the consequences — and should anyone be getting the sack? We also look at the bigger picture and what another damaging European defeat could mean for Celtic’s season as a whole. Could this slump derail the campaign, or can the team turn things around before it’s too late? Finally, we turn our attention to Sunday’s trip to Easter Road, where Celtic face Hibs in the league. Can Martin O’Neill’s men put their European misery behind them and get back to winning ways, or are we in for more of the same? 🎙️ In this episode: Celtic’s defeat at home to Celta Vigo Zero points from three Europa League games — is the campaign over? Another poor performance: where did it all go wrong? Who’s to blame for Celtic’s current struggles? Who should be sacked, and where does the responsibility lie? 🎙️ 4 Tims and a Podcast | Benfica 4-1 Celtic: Another European Collapse & Hearts Preview Darren, Tony, Danny and Andy take to the mics in the immediate aftermath of Celtic’s disastrous 4-1 defeat to Benfica in Lisbon on Matchday 2 of the Europa League, as another painful night in Europe leaves more questions than answers for the Hoops. A first-half capitulation once again proved Celtic’s undoing, and the lads get stuck into everything that went wrong as the club’s alarming fall from grace in UEFA competition continues. We dissect the calamitous start, look at the standout poor performances, and ask just how many of the same mistakes Celtic can continue to make on the European stage. Are Celtic’s hopes of progressing in the competition already hanging by a thread? Is Martin O’Neill getting it wrong, and what can the manager do to turn things around? More importantly, what does it say about the Celtic board if there appears to be so little ambition when it comes to competing in Europe? If the club isn’t serious about making progress on the continental stage, why should the fans continue to pay big bucks to follow Celtic around Europe and watch performances like this? There’s plenty of frustration, plenty of debate, and some serious questions that need answering. We then turn our attention to a massive Sunday showdown at Celtic Park, as reigning champions Celtic welcome last season’s runners-up Hearts in a crucial Premiership clash. With Celtic looking to remain at the top of the table, the pressure is on to get back on track and stop the wheels from coming off the season. How do we see this one going? Who can Martin O’Neill bring into the team to freshen things up? Which players need to step up, and can Celtic respond to the European disappointment with a big performance in front of the home support? It’s the first meeting between the sides since that absolutely crazy final league game of last season in May, so there’s plenty to look forward to as we deliver our full match preview, debate the key battles, and give our predictions for Sunday’s massive encounter. 🍀 In this episode: Benfica 4-1 Celtic: Breaking down another European nightmare. A new series from 4Tims We only have 1 microphone this week and Tony has a lot to get off his chest! ☘️ We’re launching a brand-new series where Tony goes solo for a weekly tangent on all the things that annoy him about Celtic. And what better way to kick things off than with this week’s Champions League results? We then turn our attention to Thursday night’s daunting trip to Lisbon to face Portuguese giants Benfica. Hello and welcome back to 4 Tims and a Podcast, this episode sees us discuss the protest against principal shareholder Dermot Desmond at a golf event and the statement from Celtic that followed. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The international break gives Darren, Tony and Andy plenty of time to take a step back and ask some big questions about Celtic. First up, Martin O’Neill looks set to remain in the Celtic dugout despite a difficult month. Is sticking with O’Neill the right call, or should the club have used the international break to take matters out of his hands and begin the search for a replacement? The latest financial figures are also under the microscope – and they make for some pretty grim reading, with a number of key figures heading in the wrong direction. But while the numbers tumble, where is the accountability? We discuss why there appears to be so little consequence for those at the top of the club, including CEO Michael Nicholson and CFO Chris McKay, when it comes to the financial and strategic direction of Celtic. And then there’s Brendan Rodgers. The former Celtic manager is set to return to Glasgow next June, around a year and a half after his dramatic departure last October. We look at the live event he’ll be taking part in, what might be said, and whether we could be in for an awkward – or revealing – reunion given the criticism aimed at Rodgers’ character and professionalism following his departure. Three Tims, plenty of opinions, and a lot to discuss. It’s another big Celtic conversation on 4 Tims and a Podcast . Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Tony and Andy are back with a full match reaction after another miserable European performance sees Celtic beaten 3-1 at home by Ferencváros. Where did it all go wrong? From the performance on the pitch to the tactics, mentality and decision-making, the lads dissect another night where Celtic simply weren't good enough when it mattered. We also ask the big question: is time now up for Martin O'Neill and his coaching team? Is there still a way back, or are Celtic staring at the need for a major change in direction? And if things weren't bad enough, attention now turns to Sunday's derby against Rangers. Three defeats in the space of a week is suddenly a very real possibility — so how on earth do Celtic respond? Can the Bhoys pick themselves up, produce a reaction and turn the mood around at Celtic Park? Or could Sunday lunchtime bring another painful chapter? Tony and Andy look ahead to the showdown, discuss what Celtic need to change, and, of course, give their predictions for Sunday's derby. 🎙️ Another European disaster. Another huge debate. One massive derby on the horizon. This is 4 Tims and a Podcast. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
It’s another miserable afternoon at Ibrox for Celtic as the Hoops crash out of the League Cup in humiliating fashion, going down 3-0 to Derek McInnes’ Rangers side in a performance that leaves far more questions than answers. Darren, Tony, Danny and Andy get stuck into the shambles from start to finish — from the baffling team selection to another big-game capitulation. Why was Sebastian Tounekti handed a starting place despite a string of uninspiring performances this season, while big-money signing Haissem Hassam was left on the bench amid reports he had barely slept? And in a performance where almost nobody covered themselves in glory, was young right-back Colby Donovan the only Celtic player who could walk off that pitch with anything approaching pass marks? But the biggest question is the one Celtic fans are asking: who is actually to blame? Is it manager Martin O’Neill? Is the coaching setup failing the team? Are the players simply not good enough when the pressure is on — with captain Callum McGregor once again struggling to make an impact in a major game? Or does the ultimate responsibility sit with the Celtic Board Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

4 Tims and a Podcast | Comeback Kings in Paisley! 🍀 Darren and Tony are back to dissect a dramatic evening in Paisley as Martin O’Neill’s Celtic side came from behind to beat St Mirren 2-1 and stretch their lead at the top of the table! We start with the nightmare moment that put the Celts on the back foot — Liam Scales’ inexcusable handball gifting St Mirren a penalty, which the hosts duly converted. But was that the only controversial decision of the evening? We also examine the VAR call that ruled out a Camilo Duran equaliser and ask whether Celtic were on the wrong end of another questionable decision. Then came the second-half turnaround. Scales redeemed himself in style, rising highest to power home a header from a corner and restore parity. And with Celtic pushing for the winner, star man Camilo Duran produced another moment of quality, slipping a superb pass through to the impressive Yang, who coolly finished to complete the comeback! But with Yang now heading off on international duty with South Korea for the next month, just how big a miss will the Korean star be? Who steps up in his absence — and who has what it takes to fill his boots? Finally, we look ahead to the midweek trip to Perth to face newly promoted St Johnstone. Can the Celts maintain their 100% league record, make it another three points and keep the rest of the pack chasing their tails? 🎙️ On this episode: St Mirren 1-2 Celtic — breaking down the comeback Liam Scales’ costly handball and penalty The controversial VAR decision to rule out Duran’s equaliser Scales’ redemption with a crucial header Camilo Duran’s brilliance and Yang’s winning finish How big a miss will Yang be for Celtic?
