Culture Changers is where we pour gasoline on fiery topics like power, politics, religion, and relationships (thoughtfully) and find a better way through. I've interviewed people like Seth Godin, Mariel Hemingway, and Jesse Itzler among other notable world-changers. And of course, we are talking cults, trad wives, microtrends, money, faith, and what it actually means to be human right now. Listen, it's time to get up and do something. We've got a world to change!

JP Miller preached a full sermon less than 24 hours after his wife died - allegedly by suicide - without taking a single question about it. Netflix gave "Death of the Pastor's Wife" three episodes but still left out a lot: the earlier conviction, the first wife whose stories echoed Mica's experience, the third wife already leading worship beside him. I watched the whole thing, went deep into the rabbit hole - and am reporting back here as I noticed some notable patterns that are showing up right now in trad wife culture too. This is a harrowing story whose theological foundations permeate our society across many angles. Trigger warnings on this one. Rather watch on YouTube? Watch here . Are you as obsessed as I am with the dumbest headlines of the week? Well, you're in luck! I've got comedian and pop culture whisperer Rachel LaForce on to break down what Spencer Pratt's mayoral run, the $250 Trump bill, and trad wife content filmed at Home Goods actually say about the rest of us. Rachel got sober by accident, spent decades masking her neurodivergence, and built her whole show around one idea: comedy gets you to the truth faster than seriousness does. This is a fast, sharp, occasionally unhinged hour that somehow keeps landing on self-belief. Notable timestamps: 03:57 – The UFC fight on the White House lawn, and how "healing is hilarious" started as Rachel's own recovery philosophy 12:08 – How she got sober "on accident" during a breakup, and never went back 16:57 – The push-yourself-out-of-the-pool metaphor for knowing you're actually ready for change 20:02 – Spencer Pratt's mayoral run and the self-belief lesson hiding inside it 23:38 – Why she thinks billionaires are boring, and her case for an abundance mindset 27:54 – MacKenzie Scott, Jeff Bezos, and the gender dynamics of wealth 31:45 – Her actual rule for what's fair game to joke about, and why trad wife content makes her sad instead of snarky 37:36 – Cortisol dressing, dopamine dressing, and how marketing invents things to sell women 43:36 – Where to find Rachel and what's next for Healing is Hilarious Rachel LaForce, resources and links: Healing is Hilarious podcast: https://www.rachellaforce.com/podcast Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6jliDvkqHQFXyfx9Qh0lr4 Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-rachel-laforce-show/id1600838616 Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@therachellaforce Rachel's website: https://www.rachellaforce.com/ Follow Rachel on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rachellaforce/ Follow Healing is Hilarious on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/healingishilarious/ Skewed Orbit Studios: https://www.skewedorbitstudios.com/ Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. I grew up thinking if I did everything right, negotiated hard enough, leaned in enough, the outcome would eventually match the effort. Y'all, that was a big old fat lie. Stefanie O'Connell spent years digging into the research for her new book, The Ambition Penalty, and the data is downright shocking. We get into girlboss culture and tradwife culture, and why they're actually selling the same lie in different outfits. We talk about what happens to women who out earn their male partners, and I promise, you're going to be picking your jaw up off the floor. Fair warning, there's some rage in this one. Mine included. Notable timestamps: 01:55 – Stefanie explains the title and the reckoning behind the book 06:07 – The truth about whether women actually negotiate less than men 10:29 – Was Lean In a net positive or a net negative 15:55 – Girlboss and tradwife culture are selling the exact same lie 20:03 – Midroll 26:34 – The data on breadwinning moms and abuse in the home 36:43 – Why men only read 20% of bestselling books by women 45:03 – Where to actually start when the problem feels too big 50:10 – Why Stefanie refuses to buy into mom guilt 56:27 – What utopia actually looks like, ten years out Stefanie's links: The Ambition Penalty (book):https://amzn.to/4gbQlSY Website: https://tooambitious.com/ Too Ambitious newsletter: https://tooambitious.substack.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stefanieoconnell/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stefaniemoconnell Allison's links: Free Podcast Clarity Call: https://allisonhare.com/freecall Instagram: https://instagram.com/allison__hare LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/allisonhare Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. The women who built Lilith Fair were called "angry," "hysterical," "emotional," and dismissed as "a bunch of lesbians" back in the 90s. Turns out Sarah McLachlan and her all-female lineup were way ahead of their time, running the highest grossing tour of 1997. Now the concept is back, and leading the charge is Olivia Rodrigo, using her platform to advocate for women's rights. This is a fun, fascinating, and timely look at how right those women were, and why the fight just picked up way more steam. My father died last week. He was 97. What a gangster, making it that far. Milad Rizk survived World War Two as a kid in Lebanon, immigrated to America with nothing but a Lebanese passport and a plan, raised six kids across two marriages, and spent his whole career as an auditor jumping from Iraq to Saudi Arabia to Chicago to New York. He had dementia for the last several years of his life. Toward the end he couldn't really talk to us anymore. Then I remembered something. Fifteen years ago, before I had a podcast, before I even knew what a podcast was, I used to run a music blog and interview artists with a little handheld recorder. One day I pointed it at my dad instead and asked him to tell me his whole life story. I hadn't listened to it since. I wasn't even sure the file still existed. So last week I dug an old recorder out of a closet, popped in the SD card, and the very first file I opened was him. I think about how close I came to never finding this. And I think about how many of us have a parent sitting right there, willing to talk, and we just haven't asked yet. This is Milad Youssef Rizk. Born December 20th, 1928 in Tripoli, Lebanon. Died July 30th of this year. He spoke five languages, picked up hitchhikers with all six of his kids in the car (#superdad), and told stories so freaking captivating. In this interview he talks about growing up poor during the war, what it was like starting over in America in his late twenties, and near the end, whether he thinks he was a good father. His answer surprised me (he said no). If you still have a parent (or loved one) who would sit down and talk to you, record it. You can thank me later! As a woman who deeply cares about women's rights, I am obsessed with a show that is totally problematic. America's Sweethearts Season 3 just dropped on Netflix. I grabbed fellow DCC-obsessed Mara Davis, an Atlanta radio legend who has been watching the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders since the 1970s, sat through all 17 seasons on CMT, and has opinions about every single cheerleader, judge, and PR move in that building. We get into Reece's early retirement and the trad wife speculation swirling on Reddit, Faith's breakout season and the ponytail situation, whether the coordinated cheerleader solidarity online is real or engineered, what Kelli's exit meeting with Faith reveals about leadership under serious pressure, and why two feminists who probably shouldn't love this show absolutely cannot stop watching it. Timestamps: 00:00 Why Allison is obsessed with a show she admits is totally problematic 02:35 Mara's DCC origin story: 17 seasons of CMT and what changed when Netflix arrived 05:10 The arc of all three seasons: severely underpaid athletes, pay equity fight, social media scrutiny 06:45 Mara's feminist paradox: "It doesn't make sense that I love this show so much" 08:36 Reece: the darling who appeared in all three seasons and why her early exit is more complicated than an injury 11:13 Reece's husband, the trad wife speculation, and what Reddit has been saying 14:44 Faith as the Season 3 breakout: "You cannot take your eyes off that girl" 15:31 The moment that made Mara fully Team Kelli: the exit meeting and what Kelli said to Faith 16:43 Kelli's "re-earn my trust," Victoria from Season 1, and whether the cheerleader solidarity online is coordinated 21:53 "It's Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. It's not Victoria. It's just not." 23:00 Kelli watches back every season and critiques her own leadership 23:18 Mara: "I want her to run the country." 26:13 What Season 3 may have hidden about body image and why seven episodes isn't enough 33:13 Mara used to judge Atlanta Falcons cheerleader auditions 35:31 Why the DCC sisterhood is actually one of the most feminist things on television 37:20 Who would replace Kelli and Judy if they ever retired? 38:37 Glow-ups, ageism, and how people talk about women over 60 online 40:28 Season 4 is confirmed and we already know who's back at training camp 43:09 Dayton and Dayton's mom 44:32 Judy Trammell choreographed Thunderstruck and the music licensing conversation Resources and Links Mentioned Mara Davis on Instagram: https://instagram.com/maradavis2000 "Be There in Five" podcast by Kate Kennedy (Victoria's appearance on this episode is discussed): https://open.spotify.com/episode/2brpAlYGUffbYekHU1PqMR?si=f3d45a467f444032 Book a free podcast strategy call: allisonhare.com/freecall Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. Kevin Calhoun spent years doing HR and DEI work from inside some of the biggest corporations in the world. He watched those programs get built. Then he watched them get dismantled — and found himself displaced in the process. In this conversation, recorded in honor of Juneteenth, Kevin introduces the concept of James Crow: Jim Crow's more dangerous, more invisible cousin. My mother died on June 11th, five years ago. This is the episode I recorded right after she passed. It's episode 300, and it's dedicated to her. What I didn't expect was what her last six months would teach me. About the matriarchy. About worthiness. About the hypermasculine drive that so many of us — myself very much included — run on until we can't anymore. And about what happens when you finally let yourself receive love instead of earn it. If you still have your mother here, you will want to call her after this one. In this episode: The real history of the matriarchy — and why it matters that it existed before the patriarchy How watching a parent die dismantles the story you've been living What hypermasculine burnout actually looks like from the inside What her last six months looked like — and why she was happier than she'd been in decades What "being enough" feels like when someone you love shows you it's true Timestamps: 00:00 — Dedication and why this episode exists 02:44 — The matriarchy: history, power, and what we lost 05:05 — Who my mother was 09:53 — What her life became my cautionary tale 12:16 — The hypermasculine drive and the burnout 14:37 — Her last six months and the miracle in them 17:05 — The room where she died 20:36 — What the matriarchy is asking of us now Links and Resources: Episode 3 with Kelly Knight on the Age of Aquarius: [link to episode 3] Free podcast strategy call: https://allisonhare.com/freecall Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. Bryan Green and Krissy Hoadley of The Commercial Break built a #1 comedy podcast with over 50 million downloads and absolutely no plan. Over a thousand episodes in, they're finally spilling the behind-the-scenes. What makes a show last? What's the actual creative process? And who on earth is Frankie B? Fun fact, Bryan was in my very first podcast launch cohort in 2019 which is how this show began. What listeners will take away: The mindset shift that separates podcasters who last from the ones who quit at episode twelve A simple way to choose a co-host that actually works — it has nothing to do with who makes you laugh The full, ridiculous, endearing origin story of Frankie B and why Bryan thinks he might be the secret engine of the whole show Why chasing trends, polish, and strategy is exactly backwards The 20/80 rule for showing up on days when you have nothing Notable Timestamps: 07:07 — Bryan on the "big fuck this" moments every podcaster hits and why you keep going anyway 09:59 — "Perfection is the enemy of consistency" — the line that will stick with you 13:06 — Why Bryan doesn't care if you think his podcast has too many ums 15:42 — The 20/80 rule: what to do when you walk in with nothing 17:29 — The Apple review that finally told Bryan what his show actually was 25:52 — The full Frankie B origin story (12 views, Ruby Tuesday's, and a text from Jason) 35:52 — The line Bryan won't cross, even when something is funny 37:26 — His read on the Manosphere and why most of those guys are running a grift 43:46 — The whole strategy, summed up in one sentence Links and Resources: The Commercial Break: thecommercialbreak.com Bryan Green on Instagram: https://instagram.com/bryanwgreen Frankie B on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@frankbennardo6063 Book a free clarity call with Allison: allisonhare.com/freecall Prefer to watch on YouTube? How did we go from prophet to profit with Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Deepak Chopra... one by one, the curtain got lifted? And we're left asking: who do we actually trust? Religious ethicist Dr. Liz Bucar has spent 25 years studying exactly that question. Her answers will surprise you. What you'll learn in this episode: Why the guru era is collapsing and what a good teacher actually looks like versus a predatory one The hidden Orientalism behind Deepak Chopra and Jay Shetty's appeal — and the latent racism nobody's talking about How a 19th century minister literally named after the Graham cracker gave us our food guilt Why a single question from a tarot card reader reversed years of orthorexia when therapy and church couldn't touch it What happened when a straight-edge religious studies professor did ayahuasca three times a day for three days in an Oregon yurt — and what it broke open about death, grief, and living well What sangha means and why real community requires you to be inconvenienced Prefer to watch on YouTube? https://youtu.be/5kXU5Cf2heE Resources & Links: ORDER Beyond Wellness book: https://amzn.to/4wQJypx Liz's website: https://www.lizbucar.com/books Liz's Substack (Religion, Reimagined): https://lizbucar.substack.com/ Liz on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lizbucar/ Liz on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@lizbucar Work with Allison: https://allisonhare.com/freecall NOTABLE TIMESTAMPS 00:00 — Intro: Prophet to profit. Learn what healing looks like after 40 years of identity collapse in Christian patriarchy. Tia Levings is a New York Times bestselling author, featured in Amazon's "Shiny Happy People," who escaped Christian fundamentalism, recovered from religious trauma, and now decodes why patriarchal family structures mirror the theocratic policies taking shape in American government right now. In this episode, Tia walks us through: The mechanics of silence culture and why it protects abusers How to identify when you're in a high-control group (it's rarely obvious) Why women brought into patriarchal power structures become scapegoats What healing actually looks like (not spiritual bypassing, not "I'm grateful it happened") The healing modalities that work for complex PTSD after religious trauma How modern politics is the scaled-up version of the family systems she lived in This is a warm, grounded conversation about one of the most urgent cultural issues we're not talking about clearly enough. Have we biohacked our way to loneliness? We've over-optimized every aspect of our lives—Oura rings, trackers, endless connections on social media. We're fitter, more quantified, more tracked than ever. Yet we're the loneliest society that has ever existed. Suicide rates have never been higher. Somewhere along the way, we lost touch with each other and maybe even ourselves. Chris Schembra makes the case that true fulfillment doesn't lie in adding more optimization. It lies in adding friction back. In this conversation, we break down why convenience is the enemy of connection, what earned intimacy actually requires, and how the serenity prayer—tattooed on Chris's arm from early sobriety—reveals the wisdom we're desperately seeking. What You'll Learn: Why "biohacking" and optimization have backfired on human connection The difference between weak ties (what social platforms designed for) and deep relationships (what we actually need) What "earned intimacy" means and why it requires inconvenience and repeatability The League of Gentlemen: how a village of 100 friends grew from three people having breakfast together Why we're outsourcing our emotions to chatbots instead of sitting in our own thoughts The serenity prayer as a practical life design tool—not spiritual advice The discernment crisis: why judgment and taste are the most valuable skills of tomorrow How to reclaim your life from algorithms and convenience Rather watch on YouTube? https://youtu.be/8xxiRxRR24E Resources & Links: Chris Schembra on LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/chrisschembra Reach out: chris@chrisschembra.com 7:47 Gratitude Experience: https://747club.org EP79of CC: A new twist on gratitude: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0V49SVlsXGMmcH8Af2aGnO?si=3f708350572a4b01 EP101: BDSM and the Boardroom : https://open.spotify.com/episode/4cBTAzKRV27qa3wSOwpsQV?si=be9222f7e2104674 EP157: Ketamine psychedelic therapy : Chris Schembra's story: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0V49SVlsXGMmcH8Af2aGnO?si=3f708350572a4b01 Key Timestamps: 00:00 — Intro: Have we biohacked our way to loneliness? 00:41 — Mother Teresa on the poverty of the soul 02:23 — Allison pushes back on the framing 03:40 — The distinction between "too easy" and "too optimized" 04:09 — Why tech companies call us "users" 05:56 — The convenience trap: clicking vs. calling 06:51 — Outsourcing emotions to chatbots and streaming services 54:26 — Building true intimacy vs. collecting weak ties 55:27 — The Strength of Weak Ties study and social media's backfire 56:25 — The breakfast story: how a village of 100 friends was born 58:26 — Walking through seasons of life together 59:13 — The League of Gentlemen and being held when you show up messy 01:01:14 — The serenity prayer tattoo and the three pillars 01:03:40 — Wisdom to know the difference: the discernment crisis 01:04:40 — The beauty of inconvenient choices and earned connection Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. We celebrate female empowerment while simultaneously destroying women who actually achieve it. This episode unpacks why we pile on female leaders—from Brené Brown to Mel Robbins to Gwyneth Paltrow—in ways we never do for men. Not to defend these women although some deserve critique. It's about understanding the line between legitimate critique and character assassination, and asking what happens when we redirect that energy toward systemic change instead of moral policing. You can watch two people look at the same video of the Minneapolis shooting and come to completely opposite conclusions about what happened. Why? Because their brains — literally — were looking at different parts of the screen. That's selective perception. And once Dr. Jay Van Bavel explained it to me, I couldn't stop seeing it everywhere. In my feed. In my family. In myself. Jay is one of the top 1% of researchers in the world — not my words, that's Clarivate — and a professor of psychology and neuroscience at NYU. His research has been cited by the US Supreme Court, the Senate, and the World Health Organization. And in this conversation, he did not let me off the hook. Neither will you. We went deep on why our brains are not built for social media, how AI is becoming a full-time confirmation bias machine, what's actually happening to democracy right now, and — I promise there's a reason to keep listening — one genuinely hopeful hack backed by hard data that can lower your polarization by 25%. In this episode, you'll learn: Why two people can watch the exact same video and reach opposite conclusions — and it's not about intelligence or bad faith How AI chatbots are 50% more sycophantic than actual humans — and what that's doing to your relationships and your politics What the research actually says about Trump's approval drop and the role of "apolitical" influencers in shifting minds The one social media move backed by a clinical study that can reduce your polarization by 25% in a single month — and keep it lower for a full year Rather watch on YouTube? https://youtu.be/-upTCa6s7oc Resources & Links Mentioned: Dr. Jay Van Bavel's Substack: The Power of Us NYU Center for Conflict and Cooperation: nyu.edu The Power of Us (book) by Jay Van Bavel & Dominic Packer Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allison__hare LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/allisonhare/ Website: https://allisonhare.com Book a free podcast clarity call: https://allisonhare.com/freecall Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. How can we be so self-aware and so clueless about ourselves at the same time? Have you ever wondered why so many high-achieving, self-aware people still struggle to actually feel seen and healed? In this episode of Culture Changers, I’m inviting you behind the scenes of my fifth ceremonial psilocybin-assisted therapy journey to crack open the messy, nonlinear world of emotional healing, trauma recovery, and the radical power of self-discovery. I ditch the filters (you know me) and share what magic mushrooms (psilocybin) revealed to me about my own deeply held fears, body trauma, perimenopause mood swings, and that gnawing sense of never being “enough”, even after years in therapy and spiritual hustle. I get real about the pitfalls and promise of the psychedelic healing landscape, from shady, bougie retreat centers to the truly ethical practitioners at Entheo Temple, plus why safety and integrity matter more than ever in this wild west of plant medicine. Whether you’re psilocybin-curious, passionate about trauma healing, or just looking for a brutally honest conversation about what it means to be fully seen, this episode is for you. We’ll dig into everything including: microdosing, EMDR, healing community, body image, and I’ll share how embracing vulnerability (with a side of irreverence) can help you break open, reconnect, and rise the hell up. Healing isn’t linear, but with the right questions, support, and a little mushroom magic, real progress is possible. I cover: How healing isn’t linear or predictable Psychedelic-assisted therapy experiences Importance of ethical practitioners/facilitators Self-awareness and emotional vulnerability Being seen vs. hiding oneself Personal trauma and body acceptance Building supportive community for growth Timestamps: 00:00 Reflecting on healing and self-awareness 04:53 Preparing for guided ceremonies 07:16 Exploring psilocybin's healing benefits 12:21 Reflecting on a bad business experience 13:26 Attending an ethical healing retreat 16:28 Heroic doses and emotional healing 22:01 Realizing personal relationship patterns 24:51 Attending a small group ceremony 27:29 A mushroom ceremony experience 31:21 Reflecting on a healing session 32:49 Relaxing in nature with reflection 36:01 Struggling with body image 41:24 Closing thoughts and next steps 43:09 Supporting the show and staying connected Rather watch on YouTube? https://youtu.be/AmpeTTXQzVs —--------------------------------------------------------- To Learn More About Entheo Temple: Website: https://www.entheotemple.org My Psychedelic Docu-Series: First Time Ever: EP150: My psychedelic journey inward: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2zWPpOEQchQ7g9azKJ3bcO?si=b57e2a0e7c214835 EP154: LIFE Update: Psychedelic Aftermath, 12-hour walk: https://open.spotify.com/episode/1zy86Rj0a1C2ojq4ZZiClk?si=a64d3dd8c55e498b 2nd journey: EP168: Psychedelics Part 2: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6wQTCTc4kSlqYZFicWy2ni?si=78af6ff3c4aa474b 3rd journey: Psychedelics, brutal solo hike, and overcoming fear and doubt: https://open.spotify.com/episode/15L2tjPE0Cvx3YMQQ8fiop?si=fe13431a55914b44 4th Journey: Psychedelics Uncovered My Hidden Shadow: https://open.spotify.com/episode/06QFKj1Ak2mQuPw10UBD1i?si=e3cc9bc30d0e4f07 To Connect With Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allison__hare LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/allisonhare/ Website: https://allisonhare.com Book a free podcast clarity call with Allison: https://allisonhare.com/freecall Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. What is really happening to women’s bodies in pop culture right now? Today I’m tackle the challenging, layered, and sometimes contradictory truth about Hollywood’s obsession with ultra-thin bodies, the rise and risks of GLP-1 weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, and the relentless cycle of shame, judgment, and pressure being placed on women, by the media, by society, and by ourselves. I break down how award season 2026 brought shocking displays of celebrities: Demi Moore, Kelly Osbourne, Ariana Grande, Nicole Kidman, Rachel Zoe, and more! Showing off bodies so gaunt they sparked a firestorm of discussion (and concern) about what’s being normalized, and why. Drawing on my own deeply personal stories, I connect the dots from generational pressures, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and orthorexia, to today’s seismic shift: weight loss drugs making “ideal” bodies attainable (and dangerously easy). We get real about the systemic roots: patriarchy, internalized misogyny, Christian nationalism, and the culture of restriction, while asking how we might live more authentically. If you’re curious about celebrity body standards, weight loss drug culture, body positivity, or women’s mental health, this episode gives you stats, real talk, and action steps. This episode is not about body shaming; it’s about changing the cultural conversation. Join me and let’s get honest, empowered, and maybe a little pissed off, in all the right ways. I cover: Extreme celebrity weight loss and body ideals Eating disorders—prevalence, misconceptions, statistics Generational body image beliefs and family dynamics GLP-1 weight loss drugs—societal impact My own body dysmorphia and disordered eating experiences Patriarchal systems, politics, and body standards Shame, judgment, and policing women's bodies Timestamps: 00:00 Wasting Away: Women's Bodies Now 03:22 Body Trends and GLP-1 Shift 08:21 Mother's Advice on Independence 13:07 Unrealistic Motherhood Aspirations 17:44 Struggling in My 40s 19:46 Prioritize Nourishment Over Obligation 24:29 Society, Dysmorphia, and GLP-1s 27:28 Body Politics and Societal Standards 35:03 GLP-1: Benefits and Risks 42:11 Body Image and Health Choices Rather watch on YouTube? https://youtu.be/cLuFQCv-Wnk —--------------------------------------------------------- To Connect With Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allison__hare LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/allisonhare/ Website: https://allisonhare.com Book a free podcast clarity call with Allison: https://allisonhare.com/freecall Be sure to rate, review, and follow this podcast on your player and also, connect with me IRL for more goodness and life-changing stuff. Do you feel like the news cycle is a dumpster fire and you’re just trying to figure out where your voice belongs? In this week’s episode of Culture Changers, I sit down with Jamie Maglietta, veteran news producer (CNN, BET, Fox News… yeah, she’s the real deal) and founder of OnCamReady, who’s spent her career inside the media machine helping thought leaders and pros transform their expertise into stand-out content. If you’re a thought leader, business owner, creator, or anyone desperately wondering: Should I be on YouTube? TikTok? LinkedIn? Or just take a nap?, this is pure gold. Jamie unpacks the exact strategies newsrooms use to break through chaos, how to build relatable, trustworthy content in a post-cable world, and why YouTube has overtaken every other platform for in-home viewing (spoiler: it’s not just for Gen Z anymore). We get real about showing up authentically on social media, using your story as a force for good, even when the world feels completely off the rails, and the savvy top media professionals use to avoid burnout and grow visibility. Jamie reveals tactical advice on platform selection, content pillars, and why new media is less about perfection and more about connection. Ready to stop being the best-kept secret in your industry and finally own your lane in this shifting digital landscape? Your audience is waiting, and this episode gives you the truth on how to show up, get seen, and be a culture changer.
