This is a podcast that was created to discuss the humongous tree of music known as Rock and Roll. There are thousands of branches. There is so much information out there with even more to be learned. Together, we are going to have fun talking about our passion, the Imbalanced History of Rock and Roll. Between Ray and Markus, we have 50+ years of rock and roll radio experience and a thirst to know more! With your input we want to begin to balance the imbalanced. To understand the story of Joy Division, and how they became New Order requires some patience, and more. The "why?" in the equation is also discussed, including the lack of support in the area of mental health in that era. Talkin' 5150 For Episode 450!
When the guys thought about what to do for their 450th episode, a lot of things came to mind. Around the same time, they were interviewing Steve Rosen, who wrote the book Tonechaser, about his friendship with Eddie Van Halen. The phrase, '5150 for episode 450" just came out in a meeting, and so, here we are! The album was an important one for rockers in the 1980s! One of the truly great Rock bands had just broken ties with its front man, and creative partner... The VH faithful were devastated... The recent event of April Fool's Day reminded the Imbalanced Boys that DLR's departure notice was given on April 1st... No foolin'! Markus and Ray dove into this new book about the life and music of David Bowie, emerging with tons of new knowledge of the man in final phase of his life. That includes the release of his final album, Blackstar, and his unexpected passing. The book also gave the Boys increased insight into the humanity of the people involved, as well as many things previously unknown about the artist, especially towards the end of his life.
