Does sport get any better on a Saturday night than watching a British athlete dominate an event and win the Commonwealth Games gold medal? Josh Kerr is the true track King of Scotland - he said he would win at the start of the year and he did. Jaz Sawyers won silver in Glasgow in 2014 in the Long Jump, now 12 years later she's also said what she would do, and better it, leaping 6.93m to win Commonwealth Gold. The heavens opened - the medals rained down! A soaking Scotstoun saw the new kings and queens of the sprints crowned - including Cameroon's first gold through Emmanuel Eseme in a Games record time in the mens 100 - and England's Amy Hunt 'rescued' a silver medal in the 200. A historic night for Team Scotland at their home games - with a gold in the gymnastics, the first ever in the men's all round - for 21 yo Rebeun Ward. Angharad Evans delivered a brilliant last 50 in the 100m breaststroke final to ensure another Flower of Scotland at Tollcross - Adam Ramsay-Peaty progressed to the men's 50m final and told John he had been through the three stages of grief after his bronze the day before.
