Most people believe in Jesus as a savior who shared parables, performed miracles and died for our sins during his brief life. But is that really true? For the longest time, Paul had tried to connect with Jesus yet came up empty until recently when his soul led him to Jesus, the man not of the Bible. Paul and Sean O’Laoire examine the life of Jesus from very different and complementary perspectives that may encourage you to reconsider what you think about myth and the Bible this week on Spirit Gym. Do you remember hearing from your Higher Power for the very first time? John Novello heard a voice from Source — what he calls the Invisible Architect — telling him, “Point to the keyboard,” at the ripe, old age of three. That cosmic whisper led John to a long and successful career as a composer and acclaimed jazz pianist. Another conversation later in life led John to write his best-selling book, The Invisible Architect: How to Design a Perfect Life from Within , as a way to help others tap into the wisdom and knowledge that sits inside them waiting to be tapped. John goes deep into the Invisible Architect and shares his Be, Do, Have philosophies of life this week on Spirit Gym. Living the life of your dreams is very hard work. Paul believes much of that hard work comes from being open (and brave) to listen to new and different ideas — things you may never have considered before — then testing them in your own laboratory of daily living to see if they’re true and they work for you . Having the courage to explore and refine your life by doing the hard work of letting go of the stuff that isn’t working for you and choosing to allow the new in is a recurring theme in this week’s Spirit Gym conversation with Erick Godsey, a Master Coach and teacher of myth, science and philosophy. Remember, the best teachers you’ll ever have are the ones who are always challenging you to be your best you, not a clone or cult member! Curious to read more after Paul’s conversation with Erick? If you follow politics at all, your head must be on a swivel (and hurting) with all of the upheaval going in America and abroad. In many cases, promises were made but not kept which may be making you rethink some of your recent choices at the ballot box and even squirm a bit. Comedian JP Sears dissects these recent events and, like the deft, wise humorist he is, reminds us that giving our power as citizens way too easily on promises not delivered makes us the punchline of the joke, a lesson all of us can learn from as we create a better destiny for ourselves and the world this week on Spirit Gym. The state of public education is a mess. At the heart of it is a real struggle about a fundamental question: How much tech should our kids be exposed to daily in the classroom? Contrary to what parents have been told by public schools nationwide, there is no single one-size-fits-all solution for kids and that includes the use or non-use of tech tools like artificial intelligence (AI) in classrooms. Also, did those high-tech school districts warn you your kid’s basic math skills would erode so much that she/he would be tethered to a tech device for the rest of their lives? Priten Soundar-Shah, author of Ethical Ed Tech: How Educators Can Lead on AI and Digital Safety in K-12 , shares a better way forward based on the intelligent and deliberate use of technology that fosters better engagement in our public schools this week on Spirit Gym. Once upon a time not so very long ago, artificial intelligence (AI) was a product of speculative science fiction, especially in films from Metropolis to Blade Runner . Or, more to the point, could you really answer the question?
