What if the most profound spiritual moments happen not in a church, but in a hospital trauma bay? I’m Dr. Amy Robbins, and in this episode, I sit down with J.S. Park, a hospital chaplain and author of "As Long as You Need." J.S. shares his incredible journey from atheism to becoming a chaplain, and the raw, unfiltered reality of accompanying people through their final moments. We talk about what people actually regret at the end of their lives, the myth of "letting go" in grief, and the mysterious, unexplainable experiences that happen at the threshold of death. It's a powerful, emotional, and deeply human conversation you won't want to miss. 00:00 - The Chaplain's Calling 00:38 - Meet J.S. I’ve had hundreds of conversations about what happens after we die, but I’ve never explored it quite like this. My guest, Amy B. Scher, wrote a novel about a teenage girl who wakes up in a support group on the other side—and it’s funny, grounding, and oddly comforting. We talk about her real-life cousin’s murder, the messages she’s received since, and why healing doesn’t always require all the answers. What if the key to dying without fear isn't about death at all—but about how fully we're living right now? I sat down with Ram Dev Dale Borglum, a true pioneer of the conscious dying movement, who has spent his life helping people face the end with awareness and grace. We talk about his journey from a Stanford math PhD to living with Ram Dass, what it's really like to sit with the dying, and why he believes all fear is ultimately a fear of death. He shares a powerful, practical framework for awakening that bridges Eastern wisdom with the challenges of our modern world. This conversation is a profound invitation to stop waiting and start living as if this moment is the only one we have. 00:00 Introducing Ram Dev Dale Borglum 01:43 Origins of Conscious Dying 02:06 From Math to Ram Dass 04:22 The Santa Fe Dying Center 09:19 Awakening Over Death 13:43 Living Without Fear 16:21 Grounding First 19:34 Body Fear vs. Mind Fear 22:23 From Fear to Wholeness 23:39 A Healing Paradigm 27:54 The Tantric Stage 29:47 Bringing It Home 32:53 Trauma and Practice 33:47 The Power of Motivation 36:08 What the Dying Need 38:28 Consciousness After Death 40:43 Compassion Warrior 43:17 The Living Dying Project 47:00 Conclusion LEARN MORE ABOUT Ram Dev Dale Borglum Website: LivingDying.org Book: How to Live So You Can Die Without Fear Organization: The Living Dying Project Subscribe to my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/dramyrobbins JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. I've sat with many mediums, but watching Connie Fusella work is something else entirely. In this episode, she reads for Lori—a woman she's never met, never spoken to, no emails, no connection of any kind. What comes through will stop you. A father who carries regret. A daughter gone too soon. And a message about forgiveness that lands exactly where Lori needs it. This is mediumship at its most raw and honest, and it shows what happens when spirit meets an open heart. 00:00 Bridging Grief and Healing 01:24 How Connie Works 02:56 A Father Steps Forward 06:33 Grandmother Elizabeth 08:25 A Child Spirit and Dog 10:15 A Father's Regret 12:17 The Nursing Degree 15:00 A Younger Female Spirit 16:32 Time for Self-Care 20:16 Rabbit and Purple Flowers 21:05 Daughter Asia Comes Through 23:47 Butterflies and Froggy 26:36 Twin Grandkids and a Hawk 32:10 Forgiveness for All 36:26 Learning to Live Alone 42:19 The 444 Sign LEARN MORE ABOUT Connie Fusella Website: www.meaningfulmessages.info Instagram: [@psychicmediumconnie fusella]( https://www.instagram.com/psychicmediumconnie fusella) Certifications: Forever Family Foundation, Helping Parents Heal Subscribe to my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/dramyrobbins JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. What if your entire life flashed before your eyes—not as a highlight reel, but as a vivid review where you felt every emotion you ever caused? My guest today, Connie Fusella, experienced exactly that during the first of three near-death experiences. Connie is a certified medium with the Forever Family Foundation, and her journey is unlike any I’ve shared before. We talk about her initial reluctance to embrace her abilities, the profound shifts after her NDEs, and her groundbreaking work communicating with non-speaking autistic children. This is part one of a powerful two-part series, and I know you’ll be as captivated by her story as I am. 00:00 Introduction to Life Reviews and Mediumship 02:56 Early Encounters with Spirit as a Child 05:32 The First Near-Death Experience and Life Review 08:10 Sleep Paralysis and Spiritual Awakening 09:45 The Second NDE: A Tunnel of Light 13:41 Heightened Abilities and Subway Readings 16:06 Discovering Tarot and a Reluctant Start 19:58 The Third NDE: A Meeting with Jesus 21:28 The Accidental Tarot Reading That Changed Everything 25:36 The Difference Between Psychic and Medium Readings 30:24 Aligning with Your Soul's Purpose 33:00 Communicating with Non-Speaking Children 36:54 The Five Levels of Soul Evolution: The Solitudes 42:59 Finding Connie and Her Work JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. This is a huge milestone for me — 500 episodes of Life, Death, and the Space Between . I wanted to celebrate by going back through the archives and pulling the moments that have moved me the most over these past eight years. From Dr. Lisa Miller's research on the awakened brain to Dr. Tony Ciccoria's incredible near-death experience after being struck by lightning, from hospice nurse Julie's shared death experience to Caroline Myss's fierce wisdom on faith — these are the conversations that have shaped this podcast and deepened my understanding of consciousness, grief, and what happens when we die. Whether you've been here since the beginning or this is your first episode, I hope these clips open your mind and remind you that there is so much more to this life than we can see. 00:00 Celebrating 500 Episodes: A Dream Realized 07:06 Dr. Lisa Miller: The Awakened Brain and Women's Intuition 10:30 How Spirituality Mitigates Depression and Suicide Risk 12:01 Lionel Friedberg: The Shaman's Prophecy That Came True 19:38 Leslie Kean: The Living Agent Psi Hypothesis 23:23 Dr. Bruce Lipton: Epigenetics and the Power of Perception 31:02 Hospice Nurse Julie: A Shared Death Experience 37:56 Dr. David Rosmarin: Spirituality as the Missing Link in Mental Health 42:47 Dr. Tony Ciccoria: Struck by Lightning and the Afterlife 51:48 Dr. Bruce Greyson: A Patient's Out-of-Body Verification 57:41 Laura Lynne Jackson: Signs from the Other Side 1:10:10 MaryAnn DiMarco: Trusting Your Inner Knowing 1:12:13 Travis Holp: Synchronicities and Spirit Communication 1:16:33 Suzanne Giesemann: From Skeptic to Medium 1:19:47 Cheryl Page: Vibration Ship and Neural Pathways 1:27:11 Dr. Katie Deming: Walking a Patient Home with Mother Teresa 1:34:49 Paul Selig: Alignment vs. Getting What You Want 1:37:22 Laura Day: The Difference Between Intuition and Mediumship 1:47:35 Dr. Al Powers: Voice Hearers vs. Schizophrenia 1:54:53 Dr. Jeff O'Driscoll: Meeting a Patient's Deceased Wife in the ER 1:59:57 Tasha Faruqui: A Mother's Journey with Her Dying Daughter 2:07:07 Julia Mossbridge: Time Travel Therapy and Applied Love 2:08:09 Dr. Anna Yusim: Synchronicities in Clinical Practice 2:12:10 Dr. Neil Theise: His Mother's Cosmic Vision During Hospice 2:17:12 Caroline Myss: Intuition as the Senses of the Soul 2:21:25 Carissa Schumacher: Channeling Yeshua and Lineages of Light 2:25:12 Closing Reflections and Gratitude Hosted on Acast. What happens when a personal tragedy becomes a global one? In this episode, I’m joined again by my friend David Ferrugio, and he shares how losing his father on 9/11 at just 12 years old shattered his world and forced a profound rebirth. We explore the illusion of control, how family members grieve on different paths, and the profound, sometimes loud, signs from his dad that confirmed we are never truly gone. David’s new book, You’re Not Dead Yet, is a masterclass in transforming grief into a life fully lived, and our conversation is a powerful reminder that while loss changes us, it doesn't have to end our story. 00:00 The Day That Defined a Generation 01:31 Introducing David Ferrugio and His Story 03:27 Sponsor: Spiritually Informed Therapy 04:36 The 12-Year-Old Boy Who Lost His Father 07:38 A Grief Shared with the Whole World 11:19 The "Death" of the Person You Were 15:32 The Illusion of Control After 9/11 20:32 Choosing Gratitude Over Fear 26:39 How His Family Grieved Differently 31:36 A Wink from Dad at the 9/11 Memorial 35:43 The Man Screaming "I Love You, David" 40:20 The Follow-Up Sign on the TV 44:17 Mental Health and Spiritual Sensitivity 47:35 The Most Profound Lesson: Self-Grace 51:12 Introducing David’s Book and Podcast LEARN MORE ABOUT DAVID FERRUGIO https://www.deadtalks.net/ Subscribe to my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/dramyrobbins JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. I never expected to have a channel for Yeshua on the show. But when Carissa Schumacher agreed to come on, I knew this conversation would be different. She channels transmissions that people are calling a new sacred text—right up there with the Bhagavad Gita and A Course in Miracles. We talk about the death of the old era, the rise of the feminine, and why sacred texts are actually activation codes for what you already know. This is one of those episodes I almost didn't record because I was too afraid to ask. I have to admit, I was skeptical of Ken Lloyd’s story. A self-taught cybersecurity pioneer who built and sold multimillion-dollar companies wakes up one morning, and everything—anger, interests, identity—is gone. A woman walks into an ER with chest pain, vertigo, and dizziness. Every test comes back normal—no heart attack, no stroke. Most doctors would discharge her. But Dr. Adam Rizvi asks one question: “What is going on in your life?” And everything unravels. A decade of buried pain, an abandoned commitment, a pattern of abuse she fell back into. With just his presence and willingness to listen, she starts to heal herself. Dr. Rizvi doesn’t see himself as a healer—he’s a facilitator of love. He’s a critical care neurologist who has witnessed deathbed visions, shared death experiences, and spontaneous healings. In this episode, we explore what happens when the body dies, why death is not a failure, and how a loving presence can heal more than words ever could. Imagine growing up where family gatherings meant 30 to 40 people watching your grandmother slip into trance and speak in voices that weren't her own. That was just any given Sunday for Dr. Helané Wahbeh. She spent years hiding this from academia until she found the Institute for Noetic Sciences, where she's now the Director of Research. Helané didn't just study channeling—she learned to do it. What she discovered through her research and personal experience is that we are all capable of tapping into something beyond ourselves. The messages that come through are remarkably consistent: we are so much more than our physical bodies. 00:00 Helané's Childhood Channeling Experiences 04:09 Welcoming Helané Wahbeh to the Show 04:50 From Family Seances to Neuroscience Research 09:31 The Shift from Physicalism to Post-Physicalism 13:36 The Noetic Handshake: Science Meets Direct Experience 16:14 Personal Experience Informing Study Design 21:53 Trans-Channeling vs. Mental Mediumship 25:35 EEG Studies and the Brain as a Receiver 29:38 Can Everyone Learn to Channel? 40:44 The Awakening Tipping Point 41:43 Channeling, Dissociation, and Mental Health 48:09 Energetic Hygiene and Closing the Filter 51:01 Using Channeling as a Practical Tool www.noetic.org Book: The Science of Channeling available on all booksellers Science of Channeling Course and Best Practices of Channeling Course available at noetic.org Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/dramyrobbins JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. You know that voice in your head—the one narrating your life, criticizing your choices, and keeping you up at night? Dr. Chris Niebauer caught his red-handed after a colonoscopy when his "unremarkable" colon actually offended his inner voice. He started laughing because he finally saw it for what it is: a thought, not the truth. With a PhD in cognitive psychology and over two decades of research, Chris has arrived at the same place Buddhist teachers discovered centuries ago—the self isn't a real thing. It's a mirage. In this conversation, we get playful with the left and right brain, explore why our culture is addicted to thinking our way out of problems, and discover simple, immediate ways to rebalance our minds. In 1981, Scott Taylor sat bedside of a seven-year-old boy named Nolan. When Nolan's heart stopped, Scott went with him. He experienced a shared death—Mary Fran, Nolan's mother who had died six days earlier, came across the veil, scooped up her son, and the three of them went to the light together. Scott kept this secret for years. When he finally shared it with Mary Fran's sister Lolly, she described the exact same experience. Scott spent decades trying to get back to that state—traveling the world, visiting sacred sites, chasing the magic. Then he discovered binaural beats. Now he teaches people how to access NDE and SDE states while still alive. This conversation is about consciousness, connection, and how to tune your radio. 00:00 The Bedside of a Seven-Year-Old Boy 03:10 Introducing Scott Taylor 04:30 The Accident and the Vigil 05:30 Nolan Flatlines: The Shared Death Experience 09:00 Part B: Two Consciousnesses at Once 11:00 15 Years of Silence 14:00 Lolly's Experience: Identical to His 18:00 Why Some People Experience SDEs and Others Don't 21:00 Hemi-Sync and Binaural Beats 23:00 Tuning the Radio: Vibrational States 26:00 Reconnecting with Mary Fran and Nolan 29:30 The Expanded Awareness Institute and Transcendence Retreat 31:30 Where to Find Scott LEARN MORE ABOUT https://hemi-sync.com/product-category/by-artist/verbally-guided-artists/scott-m-taylor-ed-d/ https://neardeathmeditations.com/scott-taylor-edd Subscribe to my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/dramyrobbins JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. My guest today is a serious scientist. Dr. Neil Theise is a pathologist and stem cell researcher whose work has been featured in Nature , Science , and Cell . He's also a Zen practitioner. For decades, he kept those worlds separate—until his own body forced them together. But what really got me? His 82-year-old mother. She had dementia, talked to dead people, traveled out of body, and described space and time as "chopped into pieces." Her Parkinson's disappeared. Her blood pressure normalized. She called it the happiest time of her life. Neil wrote Notes on Complexity to lay the groundwork. His next book, Sarah in the In-Between , is the one he really wanted to write. In 1985, my guest's husband left for work and never came home. Ten days later, she identified his body parts in a Detroit morgue. She also discovered he'd been living a secret double life. Dr. Jan Canty is a psychologist who spent 30 years in silence—until a podcast for homicide survivors brought her back. The night he went missing, Jan looked in a mirror and heard herself say, "He's dead. He's not coming home." She buried that moment for decades. Today, she helps others heal through after-death communication and community. This episode aired on July 20th—the exact day Jan learned her husband had been murdered. What if the voice on the mountain is real? My guest today, Suzanne Ross, was living the so-called American dream when her hair started falling out and her body began shutting down. On a vacation in the California desert, she ran to a mountaintop, threw her arms up, and said, "I am miserable in the extreme and I see no way out." In that instant, she was surrounded by divine love and heard: Stay here, heal yourself, and then heal others. She ran down a different woman. Thirty years later, she's been teaching what she calls quantum love—a love so vast it holds the roses and the weeds, the joy and the suffering equally. Suzanne has walked through dark nights, cancer, broken bones, and loss. And she says every fall is a gift. You don't need a mountaintop to start. Just stillness. Just listening. This conversation is about surrender, ascension, and the love that holds it all. 00:00 The Mountaintop That Changed Everything 02:41 Welcome Suzanne Ross to Life, Death, and the Space Between 03:50 From Corporate Misery to Desert Healing 05:39 The Mountain Run: Surrender and Divine Intervention 10:17 Why She Listened (And Most People Don't) 14:19 What Is a Quantum Leap? 15:52 Quantum Consciousness: Where Physics Meets Spirit 20:21 Small Practices That Awaken Something Bigger 24:23 How to Carry Transcendence Into Daily Life 28:26 Podcast Promo & Resources (Mid-Roll) 31:21 What Is Quantum Love? 34:29 Why the Shadow Is Love Too 36:32 Dark Nights of the Soul (And Why They're Gifts) 38:29 The Rise Up Trilogy: Wake Up, Rise Up, Lighten Up 44:22 Suzanne's Retreats in Sedona and San Diego 46:59 Where to Find Suzanne 48:30 Closing LEARN MORE ABOUT · Website: SuzanneRossTranscendence.com · Retreat: SanDiegoTranscendenceRetreat.com (use coupon code: QUANTUM LOVE) · Books: Wake Up , Rise Up , Lighten Up (The Rise Up Series) · Social Media: @SuzanneRossTranscendence JOIN MY COMMUNITY In The Space Between membership, you’ll get access to LIVE quarterly Ask Amy Anything meetings (not offered anywhere else!), discounts on courses, special giveaways, and a place to connect with Amy and other like-minded people. Grief broke her open in a way 24 years of working with the dying never did. I sat with Cheryl Page—a clinical researcher turned mystic—and she told me something that stopped me cold: the last day you made a memory with someone you love isn't the day they died. She calls it a vibrationship —a relationship that doesn't end, it just changes frequency. Cheryl lost her beloved Scott in 2017, and instead of collapsing, she started asking questions that didn't fit the scientific box she'd lived in her whole career. She learned to ask out loud, every single day, and the signs didn't stop—they multiplied. If you've ever wondered if your loved ones are still with you, or why the signs seem to fade, Cheryl's answer will shift everything. This conversation moved me, challenged me, and gave me a whole new language for what comes after. 00:00 A Researcher's World Falls Apart 03:37 Introducing Cheryl Page & Her Journey Into the Mystic 04:29 From Clinical Researcher to Seeker After Loss 07:30 The Questions Science Couldn't Answer 09:03 The Secret Sauce: Why You Have to Ask 11:53 How to Train Yourself to Recognize Signs 17:28 The "Acorn" Exercise & Building Trust 19:45 The Science Behind Signs: Radio Antenna Theory 25:23 Magical Thinking vs. Higher Perspective 28:16 The Book Experiment: Spirit Answers Directly 32:05 Defining the Vibrationship 37:50 Developing Conversational Fluency With Spirit 39:43 Can You Change Your Signs? Caregiving is quietly breaking millions of people, and no one warns you it will break you too. I brought Roy Remer on to talk about the one thing every caregiver needs to hear—empathy without action doesn't heal anyone, it burns you alive. Roy is a meditation teacher, hospice volunteer, and author of Zen Caregiving . He's sat at the bedside of people in their final hours, and he's distilled everything he learned into a path that doesn't ask you to do more—it asks you to show up differently. What if your brain doesn't produce consciousness any more than a radio produces the music? My guest today is Dr. Arnaud Delorme, a computational neuroscientist at UC San Diego and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He wires up Tibetan monks and mediums to see what actually happens in their brains. When a medium connects with a loved one on the other side, he expected brain activity to spike. Instead, it went almost silent. The more accurate they were, the more their working memory shut down. As if the information wasn't coming from inside them at all. Arnaud started asking "why am I here?" at 11 years old. He has spent decades risking his career to challenge the idea that your thoughts and choices mean nothing. This conversation is about data, non-local consciousness, and what happens when science finally looks beyond the skull. 00:00 The 11-Year-Old Who Asked "Why Am I Here?" 03:09 Welcome Arnaud Delorme 04:12 From Firefighter to Neuroscientist 07:00 The Reductionist Pyramid (And Its Limits) 12:36 Quantum Mechanics: Shut Up and Calculate 16:27 How Science Finally Opened Up to Consciousness 18:33 EEGLAB and Studying Mediums 22:45 Split-Brain Patients and the "Real Illusion" 25:54 The Alternative Hypothesis: You Are More Than Your Brain 30:27 Why Most Scientists Still Need More Data 35:21 The EEG Finding: Accurate Readings Shut Down Working Memory 38:30 Mind Wandering vs. Daydreaming (And a Button in Your Hand) 43:24 Can Meditation Decrease Mind Wandering?
