I used to think a bigger program meant more value. What it actually did was water down results, and it started costing me clients. If you have ever opened your own program and thought, "How do I teach all of this?" you are not disorganised. You organized your coaching framework by topic instead of results. Topics expand forever. Results have a finish line. In this episode, I break down the more-is-better fallacy, and I give you one question that clears out everything in your program that is not getting your clients an outcome. What you'll learn: Why teaching a topic keeps you from being seen as the solution to a problem The one cut test question to run every module and exercise through Why cutting content belongs in your renewal strategy, not the trash What a bloated program quietly costs you in referrals, sales calls and completion rates How reverse design gives you a framework you can teach, scale and sell without a twenty minute explanation Mentioned in this episode: Retention Point by Robert Skrob The Coach's Signature Training Series, live on Zoom October 6, 7 and 8 at 10am Arizona time: https://amanda-walker.com/live/ Framework Builder Lab www.amanda-walker.com/lab 10 Powerful Questions: https://amanda-walker.com/questions How To Get Clients limited series: https://amanda-walker.com/limitedseries Say hi on Instagram: @awalkmyway If this one lands, leave a review and share it with a coach who needs it. Fifty coaches showed up to the live kickoff call of my Sell It Like You Mean It challenge. Every one of them could have asked ChatGPT for a selling plan in nine seconds, for free. They came anyway. That tells you what clients are actually buying now, and it is not information. Information is free. What nobody can get from a chatbot is specific feedback about their exact situation, in real time, from a coach who has been paying attention across three sessions in a row. In this episode, I break down why generic feedback is quietly costing coaches their renewals, and the four low-lift moves that make every session feel custom. In this episode: Why information stopped being the product, and what clients pay for instead The trust recession, and how clients sniff out AI-generated work What generic feedback sounds like, from "great job" to "get more consistent" The filing cabinet teacher problem, and how burnout produces vague coaching What specific feedback actually is: their language, their patterns, named out loud The doctor's office test for your own coaching Two real examples: the meal-prep client who is not losing weight, and the freebie that is "not working" Four ways to build specific feedback into every session: mirror, name the pattern, say the uncomfortable thing, log the outcomes How to turn specificity into case studies and marketing proof Grab the free resource: 10 Powerful Questions Every Coach Should Know, at amanda-walker.com/questions Want to get clients? More than a thousand people have taken Macy Robison's archetype assessment. I finally took it myself before we recorded, and my top result came back at 45%: digital learning architect. Anything above 30% is a signal strong enough to design a business around. Macy spent ten years behind the scenes building platforms for authors and experts before she built her own. Her background is music, and she uses it here in a way that will stick with you: opera singers never out-volume the orchestra. They shape their voice to fit a narrow gap where the orchestra produces less sound. Your business superpower works the same way. In this episode, we cover: Why competing on volume with creators who have full teams behind them is a losing fight The ten archetypes Macy's assessment measures What my own results revealed about frameworks, visual thinking, and testing everything on myself The three things your signal can do Why Macy could not write her own course inside an Amy Porterfield event The shift from teaching how to, to teaching how I Connect with Macy Robison: Website https://macyrobison.com/ Archetype assessment: https://macyrobison.com/quiz LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/macyrobison/ Connect with Me: "How To Get Clients" Limited Series: amanda-walker.com/limitedseries 10 Powerful Questions: amanda-walker.com/questions Instagram: @awalkmyway (https://www.instagram.com/awalkmyway/)

A woman at a gym event described my exact ideal client, then asked if I could help her. I froze, and AirDropped her a blog article instead of my offer. This is the closing episode of our selling series, and it covers the thing almost nobody names: the cost of not selling. When you stay quiet, someone stays stuck. That bill never arrives all at once the way a no does, so it stays invisible. In this episode: Why a mechanical fix (price, pitch, one-liner) never solves a selling freeze The main character mistake and how to spot it in real time What my son's quarterback coach taught me about elevating everyone else Practice one: pitch a friend's offer and notice how easy it feels Practice two: run the six-month tape on one real client Two client stories, including one replacing a full corporate salary in under six months You do not have a selling problem. You have a certainty problem, and we can fix that together. Sell It Like You Mean It starts Monday, September 1. I ran a meta-analysis of 530 online conversations among female coaches about what stops them from selling their services. Four beliefs came back, ranked by how often they showed up. In this episode, I break down all four, plus the five patterns underneath them, and what to do instead. In this episode: The four beliefs stopping female coaches from selling consistently, ranked by frequency Why "I just need one more certification" is a decision, not a credential problem The five patterns running underneath those beliefs The consistency gap between what you think you post and what your audience actually sees A 30-day counting exercise that will surprise you One question that dissolves the ick before a sales conversation Why clarity, not courage, is usually the missing piece Doors are open for the Sell It Like You Mean It challenge. Two coaches help clients lose thirty pounds. One lists her twelve-week program, weekly check-ins, and macro plans. The other says, "I help women lose thirty pounds so they can wear whatever swimsuit they want to the pool." Only one of them is signing clients. In part two of the Sell Like You Mean It series, I break down how to sell coaching services by selling the destination your clients are chasing, not the flight that gets them there. In this episode, you'll learn: Why nobody buys your framework, call cadence, or Voxer access, and what they buy instead The cross-out test that reveals whether your offer description sells anything at all The two reasons coaches default to process-talk, and how to let go of both How to be specific without swinging into vague "feel empowered" territory Why "I help women over forty lose twenty pounds without giving up wine" beats "I help women get healthy" every time Ready to sell like you mean it? That sinking feeling when you check your bank account and it's not where you want it to be? Every coach hits it eventually. In this episode, I'm giving you three tactical moves to bring quick cash into your coaching business this week, using the trust you've already built. Then I'm telling you why these moves alone won't build a sustainable business, and what actually will. In this episode: Why your past clients and old sales-call "nos" are the fastest path to cash How to get paid to build an offer instead of perfecting it first (including the exact beta pricing script I use) The one question I asked a student that inspired this episode: when did you last talk about your offer? The 30 days, 30 times selling challenge Why fire-drill selling is exhausting you, and the rhythm to build instead This is part one of my August sales series. Your website might be the weakest link in your authority. In this episode, I sit down with brand strategist Tiffany Neuman, the creative mind behind the Best Damn Coach brand, to talk about when a coaching website is actually worth the investment and what it takes to be recognized as the authority in your niche. Tiffany taught design at the college level and worked on brands like Adidas, Burt's Bees, and Chase before building a business helping entrepreneurs make their message a movement. We get into the difference between being ready and being recognized, why you can get surprisingly far without a website, and how to show up when your future clients ask ChatGPT or Claude who to hire. In this episode: Why a beautiful website with weak messaging will never book calls The stage of business when a website becomes worth the investment How to brand for where you'll be in three to ten years, not where you are today The seven-second test every homepage has to pass Why blogging and LinkedIn matter again for AI search Take Tiffany's free Authority Positioning Audit at https://audit.brandospro.com/ and connect with her at https://yourlegacybrand.com/ Grab my 10 Powerful Questions every coach should know at amanda-walker.com/questions and come say hi on Instagram @awalkmyway https://www.instagram.com/awalkmyway

She had the title, the salary, the VIP track at a Fortune 100 company. She walked away from all of it. Not because it was bad. Because "good enough" stopped being enough. In this episode, I sit down with Briana Mascaro, founder of Sophos HR Consulting and High Performance Coaching, to walk through her real journey from corporate executive to full-time entrepreneur. Briana is a Cornell-educated attorney turned HR leader who built her coaching business while still traveling one week a month for her corporate role. She left her job in early 2026 and has zero regrets. What we cover: The eulogy moment that changed everything How she split her paycheck 50/50 to build her financial exit runway Why leaving a good job is actually harder than leaving a bad one The business ecosystem she built step by step inside the BDC What she wishes she'd done five years sooner with her money Her advice for anyone on the verge of making the leap If you're sitting in a "good" job that no longer fits who you're becoming, this one's for you. You finish a session. The client seemed engaged, the conversation felt good, but you genuinely can't tell if anything shifted. Sound familiar? In this episode, I break down 6 signs of transformation in coaching that have nothing to do with tears, breakthroughs, or big emotional moments. These are the quiet, observable shifts that tell you your coaching is actually working, plus the story of a client whose biggest transformation was realizing she didn't want her original goal at all. What you'll learn: Why the "big emotional breakthrough" you were trained to look for is the wrong thing to watch for The shift in how clients tell their own story that signals real change Two different kinds of silence in a session, and what each one means Why a client pushing back on your advice can be a sign of progress, not resistance The exact language shift that shows a client's identity is changing What to do when none of these signs are showing up Connect with Me: How To Get Clients (limited series podcast): amanda-walker.com/limitedseries 10 Powerful Questions: amanda-walker.com/questions Coaching Session Blueprint: amanda-walker.com/blueprint Instagram: @awalkmyway
