As of now there is little that we know about the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake. The reveal trailer gave us just a glimpse that the game exists and left the rest to our imagination, or rather... prediction! This week, we're joined by Adrielle as we break down and weigh in on Evan Hahn's latest article in which he puts the Zelda Dungeon Writing Team's collective "wisdom of the crowd" to the test! For this article, thirty-two Zelda Dungeon staff members were surveyed and asked to make predictions regarding various aspects of the Ocarina of Time remake like: When will we see the next trailer? What will the release date be? Will the Ocarina of Time remake be open world? Which existing dungeon will see the biggest overhaul? Will the remake have any new dungeons? And more! All this, PLUS we are now only two weeks away from the 2026 Zelda Dungeon Marathon! And this year, Zelda Dungeon's merch store has returned! Come check it out here! Support The Zelda Cast on Patreon! This week we're reviewing that very list, covering the Zelda moments that hadn't quite made the initial top 40 cut but still deserved to be recognized! We've got a fun episode for you all this week! We asked you guys to send us your Zelda themed "Would You Rather" questions. We'll be answering questions like: Would you rather see a remake of the Nintendo DS games with regular controls or get a Four Swords Adventures remake with online multiplayer? Would you rather have every new 3D Zelda take place on Breath of the Wild's map with a linear story line or never see a traditional dungeon again? Would you rather fight a Frox or a Stone Talus in real life? All this and more! Plus! Andy's thoughts on the fan-made Twilight Princess PC port, Dusklight. Come hang out with us! It's about time for us to join in on some good ol' rumors and speculation! This week we're diving right in to discuss all things Ocarina of Time and what we would want to see from a possible remake! With a topic like this, there's always conversations to be had on improvements and changes; but since the Ocarina remake is still up in the air we'll also be theorizing just what kind of remake we could (potentially) be in for! Would we be looking at a simple resolution upscale from Ocarina of Time 3D? Or would this supposed remake be built from the ground up and feature an entirely re-imagined game? It's impossible to say anything for sure; but that won't stop us from trying! All this, PLUS The Great Deku Tree Lego set discontinuing, the release date announcement for Mineru's Construct Amiibo, and the release date change for the Legend of Zelda movie! Our Ōkami celebration continues, as this week, we rank all eight dungeons in the Zelda-like title! From the not-quite-intro-but-close dungeons like Tsuta Ruins and Gale Shrine to the mini-dungeon Sunken Ship, to the literal mini-dunegon of the Imperial Palace to heavy hitters like the Moon Cave, Oni Island, and Wawku Shrine that would feel right at home in modern 3D Zelda titles, we go through them all and discuss the highs and lows. Plus, Al gives her thoughts after playing Ōkami for the first time about the game, its vibes, Issun, Orochi, Ninetails, and more! Over the next few weeks, we are celebrating 20 years of one of - if not THE - greatest Zelda-like games of all time: Ōkami! We start off with our 20 Year Retrospective, as Zelda Dungeon's Nicole Scott and Miranda Feller join the show to discuss what makes Ōkami so endearing, what qualities make it such a Zelda-like, our memories playing the game for the first time, our thoughts on Amatersau as a main character and Issun as a companion, how the Celestial Brush techniques felt in both motion controls and standard mode, how the games story is structured, and how Ōkami might be the ultimate good vibes game. The next few weeks are all about Ōkami as it celebrates this milestone anniversary, so if it's been a while or you've never played it, we hope you do! Support The Zelda Cast on Patreon!
