Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. Piri Weepu and Steve Devine join us for today’s episode and we try to figure out where it went wrong for the ABs in both Baltimore and the Greatest Rivalry Series. Was there anything New Zealand could have done or is the gap in quality between the sides just too big? The question becomes can the gap be closed between now and next year’s World Cup or will it take a miricle for South Africa not to be crowned champions once again. Lastly NPC is nearing the end of the regular season and Wellington’s woes continue and can they turn things around and end on a high before the season ends?

Piri Weepu rejoins the pod, and just in time to give us his feedback on the ABs performance in South Africa and what New Zealand can do to close the gap. The series isn’t over with one game yet to come, but should the Baltimore game count as an official series game, with the lack of South African atmosphere, would beating SA in Baltimore mean as much? Lastly, it looks like Wellington will finish bottom of the NPC, so without relegation, would should the punishment be for the team that finishes bottom of the NPC?

He and Steve Devine join Paul Maoate to breakdown the second test and try to find where it went wrong for the ABs. We promise, we only talk about the plane flyover for a moment and then we are back talking about rugby. So, it is 1-1 in the series, and we debate if the next game is the official decider and should the Baltimore match count as a part of the series. Lastly, we discuss the NPC as we reach the cross the halfway stage of the comp.

Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. We are joined by, what many call the voice of rugby, Grant Nisbett to breakdown that opening test between New Zealand and South Africa. We’re also lucky enough to have Steve Devine join us from South Africa to tell us how South Africans reacted to the first result. Of course, it isn’t over yet, with the second test right around the corner. We look at where the game was won, and what lessons can both teams take into the second game? With changes having a huge impact on the game, does New Zealand now have the claim to having rugby’s best bomb squad?

Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. Here we go! The first test against South Arrica is here and it is looking like it’ll be a classic. Rennie’s new look team have looked impressive & have beaten teams like Italy, France and Ireland, but challenges don’t get bigger than South Africa in South Africa. After last week saw a ref overrule the TMO, we are again talking about TMOs and how much they should get involved in games and if they do, what should that look like. Finally Steve Devine and Searley are putting in all on the line in the battle of the bridge NPC game.

The Greatest Rivalery tour has started with a tough clash against the Stormers, which has certainly left the team bruised, but the ABs did come away with the victory. The match produced a number of talking points, but a massive one was who’ll replace Billy Proctor. There is one name on everyone’s lips, but will Rugby NZ change the rules to let them play. The other key issue was the style of offciating. Is it time World Rugby got together to ensure consistency across the game and ensure matches flow and are played at pace? Of course NPC produced another week of exciting action where the Shield was captured by Canterbury. Will they hold onto it this week? Find out what the panel has to say.

Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. Paul is enjoying a break, so Karl steps into his boots for this week’s episode and that probably explains why it started on time. It’s great to have NPC back, isn’t it? So many great stories, rivarlies all being reignited over the weekend and we look back at who made a big impression and who left us scratching our heads. Of course, the All Blacks begin their tour of South Africa this weekend against the Stormers. What are the panel thinking in terms of the team they want to see go out and play. Is this time for experimentation or should it be about solidifing positions?

Unlike last week, the panel is made up of only a couple of members, with Paul leading the charge and being joined by rugby union enthusiasts Karl and Searley. Starting off the show, the lads discuss the 10 additions to the ABs squad heading to South Africa, as they point out some of the surprise inclusions and omissions. From there, it is all about the NPC, which kicks off on Thursday, as the panel picks a team they will be following through what should be a scintillating NPC season. To close things out in classic fashion, the team provide some of their picks for the upcoming weekend of footy.

Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. The All Blacks managed to dispathced Italy after a slow start, but Ireland will not be as forgiving should the ABs start the same way this weekend. Of course, both teams will be motivated by the unbeaten streak at Eden Park and this Ireland side has momnetum and will be a major threat to the fortress. Last week the Nations Championship was full of entertainment, but has the desire to speed up the game been slowed by the TMO. So, we’re asking when should the TMO get involed in the game and what should they be allowed to look at? Lastly we pick our team to battle Ireland and give out predictions for how it will go.

One offence the ABs looked almost unstoppable, but on defence the team looked leaky, so what grade does Dave Rennie and the team get for their opening game. Of course, as mentioned, the Nations Championship is a new competition so how do the panel feel it has gone, and what improvements could be made to the comp going forward?

The Super Rugby trophy may already be collecting dust in the Hurricanes trophy cabinet as the players move switch the Super Rugby jersey for the one in Black. That’s right! It is international season once again, and there is a new competition in town. The Nations Championship is a new comp that will bring the best nations together in a bid to add a little more stakes to the international scene. Will it take off or be a flop? Piri and Paul discuss. Of course, no matter what you think about the new comp, you can’t help but be excited by the sight of the ABs being back in action against a French team that has a history of causing the Kiwis problems. Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. Super Rugby has a new champion, and the Hurricanes won it in impressive fashion. The game was only ever in doubt prior to kick off because once the game got started it was one sided from the off. We look back and breakdown just how the final was won. Can the Chiefs, who again have lost a final, recover? Before we sign off for a couple of weeks, we have to ask, “Are the current Hurricanes the greatest ever Super Rugby team?” the answer, especially from one person in the panel, might surprise you.

Jeff Wilson lets us know his criteria for getting into his All Blacks team, and what he wants to see more of if he was in charge. The Refs come under fire for their performance in the Highlanders game with our panel thinking that had the result not gone the Highlanders way there could have been problems.
