Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and special guest, Yale researcher, Dr. Laura Manuelidis. Very few independent Wildlife Biologists have taken an in-depth, independent deep dive into CWD and arguably none have studied the history of CWD politics more than private Wildlife Biologist Jason R. Snavely, CWB. Even fewer read the actual data; the lost science! In this episode, Jason highlights where research took the wrong turn and why hunters and sporsment are so frustrated with the decisions made by state wildlife agencies, in the name of "CWD management". Most importantly, he reveals a scientist who has some very good data that show that the prion theory falls flat on its face. This is the only work of its kind that examines why researschers have accepted, hook line and sinker, the "Prusiner Prion Theory"; a theory built by one man and defended by his tight group of scienfic cronies and collaborators. Dr. Stanley Prusiner leavened the TSE research field, in the name of fame and money, to the point that no one talks about infectivity, the slow virus science and the true infectious agent; UNTIL NOW!

CWD: What's THE REST OF THE STORY? Are you confused about Chronic Wasting Disease or perhaps you disagree with what you're hearing. There seems to be a plethora of "experts" who aim to "educate" sportsmen about CWD but why haven't we made any traction on CWD in free-range deer herds? It's a fact that deer farmers have gained ground, reducing CWD prevalence but the mainstream media would lead you to believe just the opposite: That deer breeders are super spreaders! This is FALSE and truthfully, so is most of what yoo hear about CWD. Jason pays tribute to the great Paul Harvey in his approach to explain why the "prion" theory has misled science while researchers fail to produce resesarch that actually helps deer managers and state agencies make incremental improvements in the management of the disease. Isnt' it time we ask: Where did we go wrong and are we barking up the wrong tree?

Wildlife that harbor diseases wihtout showing symptoms of being diseased is the epitome of health! The presence of a pathogen IS NOT the same as the presense of the disease. Unfortunatley, it's a moral crime to admit that the weak will in fact succumb to something; it makes the species as a whole much more fit. Modern wildlife struggle to self-medicate, nourish and maintain robust immune systems because of ecological dysfunction (habitat destruction, mismanagement, toxins, domestic animal diseases). Scientists around the world regularly report that wild animals are infected with pathogens (disease-causing organisms) with ABSOLUTELY NO SYMPTOMS WHATSOEVER! Let's focus on WILD HEALTH....
