This week we are going to visit some old friends who are either on the move or have recently already moved their bars and restaurants to new locations. One is Berenice from Captain Don's Restaurant and Bar in Cinco de Diciembre. She will talk to us about their new space they are creating just a few blocks from where Captain Don's has been for the last 16 years. We will be visiting with Brian Carey and his partner Phillip about moving their restaurant, Salchidogo and Jean's Burgers, to a new location with a new name, Cheeky Lounge. Quite a story, and I caught up with Tom Findlay from Bar Frida who also moved his bar.
This week we are going to be talking about my favorite restaurants in paradise and actually talking with a few of them. I have a lot of favorites but these are neighborhood favorites in and near Zona Romantica in Puerto Vallarta.

This week we are going to talk to a country musician in paradise. You are going to meet Duncan Shadrack, who is from Kentucky in the good old USA. Duncan sings and plays guitar, and his bandmates Manola the drummer, Esteban the standup bass player and Angel on the fiddle found a snappy name for the band, they called it The Duncan Shadrack Band.
This week we are going to the Versalles Neighborhood in Puerto Vallarta to visit two restaurants and sport bars owned by Lawrence Goodwin and his wife Reanna. They are El Rey Bar and Grill PV and The Office PV, just three blocks away from each other. These two places are very popular hangouts in Versalles where one day it's a football game the next day, depending on the day it could be a drag show. Lawrence also is very deep into the tequila culture, and he will tell you about his tastings. Lawrence is the Agave Abogado.
This week you are going to meet two extraordinary ladies, one from the US, her name is Kim Easter and the other is Dale Bouayadi, Dale's from Canada. I learned so much from them about different organizations that help the needy in Vallarta who are the most vulnerable. And how anyone with the will, and a good heart, and the will, and the time can do good deeds on their own terms for the community and help whomever they choose to help.
Soco's, restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, they serve good old fashioned traditional Mexican breakfast dishes as well as some north of the border favorites. It's a family affair at Soco's. We'll be talking with Socorro, Soco for short as well as her son, Sergio about their very popular restaurant.
This week we are going have a little fun with a local Vallarta band who have been really busy rocking the town during the off season, and are warming up for their 4 th year of stealing the hearts and souls of their fans, it's the band called The Lovers.

This week we have a sweet story with a happy ending. We are going to be meeting Brian Scott Carey and his partner Phillip Wier-----who are the owners a gourmet hotdog restaurant on Basillio Badillo in Zona Romantica, Salchidogo. Brian and Phillip just brought one of Vallarta's favorite hamburgers, Jean's Classic Burgers from Plaza Marina, to their hotdog restaurant in the Romantic Zone Making it Salchidogo and Jean's Classic Hamburgers. A match made in heaven.
