Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week with another dose of nonsense and shenanigans. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the new Oilers beer prices, the GOAT Edmonton bars, fast food logos, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about logos and fast food chain restaurants. Why? Because Tyler is on vacation and the boys had absolutely no prep done for today's podcast. From Arby's logos to drive through problems, the guys spent the first chunk of the podcast talking about total nonsense. Was there any reason for this conversation? No. Changing gears, the guys dug into the rumoured new beer prices from Rogers Place, which have reportedly gone up by $7 per beer. At $26.50 per beer, the price of going to an Oilers game has shot the moon over the last handful of years. At some point, there is going to be a max price that people will pay before they start to revolt. At some point, people the dam will break with what the fanbase is willing to spend. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting by listing out the best bars of all time in the city. As you'll hear from this trip down memory lane, there were a bunch of great spots around the city that have either found a way to keep going or fell apart for whatever reason. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast with some Oilers talk as the 2026-27 NHL season inches towards go time. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week with another dose of nonsense and shenanigans. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Real Life fantasy football league, fire alarms, Daejon Love, the Kawhi Leonard investigation, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about the Real Life football draft and how Chalmers can't figure out what time the draft has to be. He wants to do a poll to figure out the time, but doesn't understand how to make one. Before the boys could get through Chalmers' technology issues, he got a phone call from his alarm company after the smoke detector went off in his house. Needless to say, this podcast interruption happened in the most Chalmers fashion ever. Changing gears, the guys dug into the Daejon Love story that has taken over the Internet over the last week after he was busted defrauding defrauding 26 women out of $1.3 million. If you've been paying attention to the story, the details get more and more absurd as the days go along. From the videos to the memes to the leaked DMs, the Daejon Love story is as strange and ridiculous as it gets on the Internet. The moral of the story? Googling people is probably smart. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with the Kawhi Leonard story in Toronto. The NBA completed its investigation in the Leonard tree-planting scam, and doled out some harsh justice as a result. As you'll hear, the Clippers seemed to get the harshest part of the punishment while the player is getting off relatively scot-free. From there, the boys wrapped up the podcast with a run of random topics and lanes that were all over the map. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Baggedmilk and Wanye were back with another episode of Realer Life to talk about whatever nonsense was on their minds. This week, they were talking fake NFL love, robots walking the streets, and the Edmonton Oilers... kinda. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week and preview tomorrow' Nation Golf Tournament out in Millwoods. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Connor Hellebuyck, TV talk, weather woes, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about Connor Hellebuyck confirming his trade request out of Winnipeg with a written statement on social media. Needless to say, Jets fans took another kick to the shin on Thursday after their star goalie confirmed that he no longer wants to play in their city. While many insiders have speculated on the situation since the Olympics, it seems like we're nearing the end of the Hellebuyck era. Changing gears, the guys spent the next chunk of the podcast talking about the San Francisco 49ers owner getting busted for soliciting prostitution at a trailer park in Ohio. As you'll hear, the boys had plenty of questions regarding why a billionaire would make such a poor life choice, but that quickly devolved into making fun of the guy for being cheap. From there, the guys talked about the Cleveland Browns, and how they never seem to make anything easier on themselves, especially when it comes to their quarterback situation. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a look at the Real Life football pool, the Nation Golf tournament coming up tomorrow in Millwoods, and the RIPON event that will be happening at The Pint on September 26th. Needless to say, this event will be one of the biggest parties the company has ever thrown, and one you will absolutely want to mark on your calendars. Hosted on Acast. Baggedmilk and Wanye were back with another episode of Realer Life to talk about whatever was on their mind. This week, the boys discussed the history of Edmonton, the Gathering of the Juggalos, and what to expect from the Edmonton Oilers. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Nation Golf Tournament, TV talk, weather woes, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about TV after Chalmers made his return to the podcast and spent a few minutes talking about House of the Dragon. That led the guys to do a quick Big Brother recap, and discussed whether or not this season is actually good or just something to watch. The boys also discussed the Jays' resurgence, and how this team refuses to lay down and die despite so many people writing them off only a few weeks ago. Changing gears, the guys spent the next chunk of the podcast talking about what a dreadful summer it's been here in Edmonton. For someone in construction like Chalmers, having this much rainfall has really messed up the building season. Chalmers also wanted to check out what the farmer's almanac had to say, and as it turns out, the almanac basically predicted this summer to a tee. And when it comes to the winter months? Well... the news didn't get much better. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a look at the Nation Golf tournament coming up next week in Mill Woods, and the RIPON event that will be happening at The Pint on September 26th. Needless to say, this event will be one of the biggest parties the company has ever thrown, and one you will absolutely want to mark on your calendars. Hosted on Acast. Baggedmilk and Wanye were back with another episode of Realer Life that covered an array of topic despite starting the podcast with absolutely no prep whatsoever. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Oilersnation move to Daily Faceoff Edmonton, the Battle of the Donairs, hippos videos, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a random collection of topics ranging from the Oilersnation to Daily Faceoff Edmonton evolution, and gave some additional context on why the change needed to happen. While there was plenty of misinformation and confusion cruising around social media yesterday, the boys had some fun with the reaction and how there were so many takes that were completely untrue. Changing gears, the guys spent chunk of the podcast moving all over the place, including Clare Drake Arena being closed for the upcoming season for renos, Jay getting caught by an AI hippo video, and getting his mind blown by a magician. Despite working through these varying topics, the boys had to go back to the hippo talk after Jay shared the video in the group chat convinced that he was going to prove it to be real. Unfortunately, Mr. Downton was proven to be incorrect. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a look at the Battle of the Donairs bracket winding down, the upcoming Nation Golf Tournament, and the RIPON event that will be happening at The Pint on September 26th. Needless to say, this event will be one of the biggest parties the company has ever thrown, and one you will absolutely want to mark on your calendars. 👍🏼Powered by @bet365: http://www.bet365.ca/ 🥙 Swiss Donair → https://swissdonair.com/ Oddle Noodle Locations - https://www.oodlenoodle.ca/locations/ Join the Nation Golf Tournament - https://nationexperiences.ca/products/the-nation-golf-tournament-2026 Hosted on Acast. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the insane Edmonton weather we're having, Tyler's vacation plans, old Nation Gear designs, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a run of topics that were not at all planned and completely random. Given that there is next to no Oilers news happening right now, the boys had the opportunity to wander into whatever topic they chose whether it was a good idea or not. From Tony Romo's legal situation to taking Ubers home from the bar to bossing robots around, the first segment of the podcast was all over the map and made no sense whatsoever. Changing gears, Tyler walked the boys through his upcoming holiday plans and how he's still not sure whether he'll be able to take his electric hummer on his road trip. Given that superchargers aren't overly plentiful in Alberta yet, the choice of taking his Hummer on the road is almost being stripped from him. That said, these are champagne problems to say the least. Will Tyler get sympathy from the audience? Unlikely. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a recap of old Nation Gear designs that Rick brought into the office from the archives, and how there have been some horrible designs. From there, the guys looked back in Oilers history and had a conversation about how bad some of the old Decade of Darkness seasons where despite ON being around the whole time. 👍🏼Powered by @bet365: http://www.bet365.ca/ 🥙 Swiss Donair → https://swissdonair.com/ Join the Nation Golf Tournament - https://nationexperiences.ca/products/the-nation-golf-tournament-2026 Hosted on Acast. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the ongoing troubles of running a business in downtown Edmonton, recent hospitality closures, Oilers all time penalty leaders, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about the recent influx in downtown business closures. As a business owner himself Jay shared some of his insight on the problems currently affecting the hospitality industry in the heart of Downtown Edmonton. This conversation eventually led the boys on a trip down memory lane reminiscing about old bars they used to frequent but are sadly no longer around. Do the "kids" still like to go out and meet people? Eli shared his perspective on night-life in Edmonton as a young adult. Everyone's favourite Oilers 501 game made a return this afternoon! With the absence of Bagged Milk on this week's podcast the boys challenged each other to a 1v1v1 head to head matchup. Who's the smartest Oilers fan? Hosted on Acast. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed Tyler's Ace Race, behind the scenes from the day, some Oilers talk, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about the Ace Race, and how frustrated Tyler is that he wasn't able to get the job done for the second year in a row. While there was some close calls throughout the day, the fact that he didn't get a lucky bounce of any kind was every shade of annoying. The guys also discussed some of the behind the scenes stories that didn't come out on the stream. Sticking with the Ace Race, the guys discussed what they thought of the day and what a third attempt might look like next summer if Tyler even agrees to do it. That led to the guys workshopping some ideas on how they could make the event more interesting, or even what other streams they could do with the staff at Nation HQ. Whether it's locking someone in the office or thinking of something else entirely, the reality is that having more Megastreams is definitely something that the boys want to do. Finally, how could they discuss the Ace Race without mentioning... the crow incident. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with the Battle of the Donairs, Wanye's Oilers influencer story, and how this player has pivoted from being a pro athlete into a content creator... or did he? The guys also discussed Tyler's new found itch to travel beyond his rule of nothing more than a six-hour flight. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This episode of Real Life starts as the Tyler and Chalmers Show before Wanye finally makes his entrance, leading to another episode full of random conversations, laughs, and plenty of Edmonton sports talk. The guys kick things off by looking ahead to the upcoming ON Golf Tournament, chatting about the Ace Race, Nation Golf merchandise, and the auction featuring Ryder and Lisa. From there, the conversation shifts to one of the biggest topics facing every industry today: artificial intelligence. The crew debates how AI is changing the workplace, which careers could be affected in the coming years, and whether the technology will ultimately make life easier or create even bigger challenges. The discussion then takes a lighter turn with homemade mosquito remedies, trying to figure out which DIY tricks actually work during Alberta's mosquito season. They also debate the pros and cons of read receipts, catch up on the Edmonton Elks after another impressive performance, and hear Tyler's latest plans for his future hot tub—including why a proper "wet test" might be necessary before buying one. To wrap things up, the guys fly through a rapid-fire round of topics, including Leo Carlsson's contract situation with the Anaheim Ducks, Tom Dundon's Stanley Cup engraving decision, Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James, FIFA controversy, and a final bet365 pick to close out the episode. As always, expect plenty of laughs, off-the-rails conversations, and the kind of random discussions that make Real Life a must-listen every week. 🎰 PARTNERS & SPONSORS 👍🏼Powered by @bet365: http://www.bet365.ca/ 👍🏼Powered by Sports Closet: https://sportscloset.ca/ 👍🏼Tyler's Ace Race: https://youtube.com/live/w8mZqP8qK-s 👍🏼ON Golf Tournament: https://nationgear.ca/collections/golf-tournament 👍🏼Powered by Swiss Donair : https://swissdonair.com/ Hosted on Acast. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed Tyler heading to Toronto for NHL Free Agency, the Darnell Nurse trade, the Oilers' goaltending trio, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about the video version of the podcast, and how Wanye just learned that the full podcast hasn't been uploaded to YouTube in over a year. That led to a discussion about TNN's approach to loading videos to the platform, and how much we've learned by trial and error over the last handful of years. While the conversation may have been incredibly nerdy, it's always fun to give people a peek behind the curtain. Shifting gears, the boys got started on a free agency recap about how the Oilers did on day one of the NHL's annual shopping spree, but that was quickly derailed by conversations about literally anything else. Whether it was Kawhi Leonard going back to Toronto, the theories surrounding his return, and whether the NBA has a bigger problem on its hands. The guys also spent some time talking about Vinny Desharnais' massive deal in Washington, and how it's wild that he locked in a bigger contract than Connor Murphy. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a breakdown of the Oilers' revamped goaltending, the Darnell Nurse trade, and how Stan Bowman did some amazing work that was completely unexpected. After a huge day for the team, it was fun to have a discussion about the Oilers doing amazing work instead of leaving people scratching their heads. Hosted on Acast. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Mike Babcock press conference, the rain in Edmonton, the NBA Draft, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about LEGO. Why? Because the boys did absolutely no prep before the show and it was literally the first thing that came to mind. Yet, talking about Tyler doing LEGO sets opened up a conversation about reclaiming attention, and doing what you can to have more moments without your phone glued to your hand. Needless to say, the start of today's podcast was as scattered as ever. Shifting gears, the boys discussed the video Chalmers posted on his Instagram of him falling on his ass. Everyone knows how much rain there's been in Edmonton over the last few days, but seeing a video of Chalmers wiping out was a nice little dose of sunshine. Sticking with the rain, Chalmers continued on with a story about one of his rental properties flooding because it's amazing how often things go wrong when unexpected weather happens. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with the Mike Babcock press conference, and how his answers to questions were as weird as they were avoidant. Either way, the team has made its decision, and we're starting off the Mike Babcock era no matter what anyone things. From there, the boys discussed some of the massive NHL trades that have happened this week, which somehow led to Chalmers sharing an interesting observation from the NBA draft. Hosted on Acast. Has the Oilers organization screwed up everything this offseason? Is the Mike Babcock hiring a sign of the end times? Only time will tell... Wrapping up the podcast, Chalmers put his storytelling cap on and took us on a journey of his golf confrontation over the weekend. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it's ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Darnell Nurse trade request, the Mike Babcock rumours, and much more. The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about the Darnell Nurse trade request that just came down today, and how it seems like we're walking toward the end of an era in Edmonton. While there's little doubt that Nurse's contract became a problem, the reality is that he was also a very good Oiler for a very long time. Despite the contract being a sticking point, the reality is that Nurse is a guy who gave his all to the city and the franchise. Shifting gears, the boys discussed the Mike Babcock rumours that have kicked up over the last week, and how just hearing his name was enough to trigger the entire fanbase. While there are a handful of Oilers fans who legitimately think this could work, the vast majority of them hate the idea to their core. That led the boys to discuss which guys would be better options for the Oilers, and whether they would even be interested in getting out of their own way. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a breakdown of the Knicks' Game 4 win, New Yorkers embracing the moment, and recapped Tyler's trip down to Vegas, what it was like being at the Cup Final when you don't care. Even with the lack of Oilers games, it's always remarkable to see how much news can happen in Edmonton even though the team hasn't been on the ice in months. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week, Wanye and Baggedmilk discussed the a healthy array of topics, including the Edmonton Oilers' coaching search, the duck controversy at Nation HQ, and the future of robotics. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
